Free Music Review: Emo At it's Best

This album displays everyone who is looking for a sort of fake punk sound, mixed with some pop and emo should be looking for. This album has lot of riffs that sound like they where stolen, but whatver. The Vocals are ok, the instrumental work is ok, not great. The thing that really ruins this is that it sounds like they tried to rip off Green Day and did a really bad job, the way that they sing this just kills the music. So, if you are looking for a sort of pop emo sound, here you have it, however beware those who don;t really like emo, this is not the punk rock that you might have been expecting. This band has no punk rock to it at all, and while the spirit may be there, that doen;t change the fact that this is definately more pop than anything else.
Why did I rate it only 1 star?
because this album, along with other emo and pop, is very overrated, and while it may appeal to some, those who have not already heard it should know that it isn;t very good at all, infact, I hated this album.
There wasn;t a single track that spoke to me at all, and the lyrics where weak, and not really about anything.
Pop Fans: You might like this, probably not.
Emo Fans: You'll love it, (if you like a band like Hawthorne heights) and it will all grow on you.
Punk Rock Fans: You will hate this album and band dearly and with a strong passion after you hear this.
Music Fans In General: You won;t like it much, no real deep meaning, and can;t actually compare to anything but pop or emo in terms of musical greatness.
The General Customer: You may like this if you listen to pop at all, but I would look for something else, this band hasn;t really acomplished anything that is worth spending your money on.
So, Buy it if you will, but remember that music gets a lot better than this, enough said.

I want to listen to punk music here you have a few bands to listen to: rufio, no use for a name, lagwagon, strung out, bad religion, satanic surfers, pulley, rise against, strike anywhere, no motive, samiam. i could go on...and basically i don't care about cg but i'm putting this comment so all those people who believe cg is punk get a real image of that punk really is. in other words cg is cg, but not punk hmm kay?Free Music Review: Change

What the f*** does giving it a title have to do with the music anyways? I don't think they make music to fit into a certain genre, rather to express themselves which they do a good job of on the album. Stop bitching about whether they are "punk" or not. Punk. Good Charlotte punk? Can you name 5 punk bands. If they come out like this you have lost the right to ever say punk again. Green Day, Good Charlotte, blink 182, Avril Lavigne and simple plan. green day is the only one of those bands that has ever made good music, but it ain't punk. These review were hilarious. i mean things like "GC arn't a boy band, do boy bands have peircings and wear punk clothes?" I mean really. One punk is about individuality, and playing agressive music, usually rebelling against the system, not wearing punk clothes. The clothes are just a statement of individuality. Two, good charlotte dont wear punk clothes. they wear black, they gel there hair and wear eyeliner. Punk clothes is like plaid bondage pants, ripped up t-shirts and studded leather jackets. But that doesn't matter. Punk is not about that. It's about the scene of people seeking an escape from the f**ked up world and creating punk music. GC is not talented. Having a record deal doesn't mean you have talent. Major labels will sign a band if they think they can make some money off the band. and GC is exactly the kind of band that all of america will listen to because it follows the same formula as any mainstream pop B.S that is out there. It catches on, gets popular cuz mtv promotes them cuz the major label pays them to, and it becomes cool to listen to good charlotte. Come on, this ain't punk. If you would just label it pop, then you wouldn't have so many haters. most of us are just pissed because we listen to real punk (clash, black flag, minor threat, bad religion, exploited, the unseen, the virus, a global threat, operation ivy.) and GC fans are infecting the scene with people that think they are so punk because they listen the GC and shop at hot topic. come on just relize what it is and except that it is pop, then i'll be okay with it.Free Music Review: So????

Good Charlotte is a GREAT band! So maybe they're not 100% pure punk, (I disagree, but anyway,) they are a great band coming from nothing. And they make great music, too! They're their own breed of punk! Oh, and is Simple Plan any more punk? I don't think so! But I don't see you all complaining about them! YOU are the whiney babies, not GC. YOU'RE whining, now aren't you! And they DO change lives! Their story is TOO inspiring! My friends and I are starting a rock band because of them! Our name is "Purple Lives" and we're gonna be famous! Good Charlotte is a wonderful, prospering band and I hope they will keep making beautiful music for years to come!
