Free Music Review: All you punk rockers are in for a treat Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, let's get to the point: Good Charlotte is probably one of the best, ... punk rock bands in the history of punk rock! I first heard of these guys many months back on MTV2.The video was for The Little Things, I absolutely loved the song because I could totally relate to it. I decided to chance buying the cd, and man was it totally worth it! My favorite songs are: The Little Things, The Motavation Proclamation, Seasons and Screamer. Anyway, to sum up the cd, this is an intense mix of emotion, killer guitar rips, a booming bass line, and ... drumming, but there are also some mellow songs, and those are the ones I think are sung with the most emotion. To those of you who have never heard of GOOD CHARLOTTE, this cd is worth every penny, and any one who buys this is in for a treat. Good Charlotte is overflowing with talent. ... Peace Out
Free Music Review: Good Charlotte Hit: 5 Stars
Good Charlotte's debut self-titled album is wonderful. I am 14 and I got the album as a Christmas present just under a year ago and I still listen to it all the time. The band, made up of twin brothers Benji and Joel, Billy, Paul and Aaron(who has now left the band) love making music which you can hear on the record. The twins write the songs which are nearly all from personal experiences. Growing up in bad suburbs of Washington D.C., their father running out on them, learning how to live and grow, and of course love. The record is very eclectic; there's a bit of rock, hip hop, reggae and of course punk. Backing vocals and guitarist Benji and other guitarist Billy are very much punks. This album is the best album I ever owned and I hope that this little review has given you just a little bit of info on it. Go out to your nearest record store and buy it today!
Free Music Review: An album for the kids that knew the hard knocks life Hit: 5 Stars
This is NOT emo, this is NOT punk, they never said it was either, its a blend of Pop-Punk with lyrics that portray the true life events of Benji and Joels life, father leaving them, mother raising them, being poor and growing up on the streets of DC. Unlike my chemical romance, GC act ually has a reason for some of their sadder, more meloncholly songs, they dont sing about slitting your wrists or crying to your friends, they sing about sticking up your chin, fighting through the hard times, and surviving life.
I loved this band years ago, and still today I have no hard feelings for them, although my musical tastes have evolved, but I just couldnt bear to see my childhood favorite cd get bashed by a bunch of ignorant fools.
If you can relate to being poor, fatherless, rejected by your peers and downright angry, you just might love this cd, I know I did.
Free Music Review: The Best Punk Album Out There Hit: 5 Stars
I'm actually older than 12, but it wont load on my computer to fill that out, lol...Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this album! Ever since I got it last October, I have been listening to it none stop. I had only heard the song "Little Things", but was instantly hooked. GC is now my absolute favorite band out there, and love all of there songs! My favs are "Little Things", "East Coast Anthem", "Seasons", "Waldorf Worldwide" and "The Click." It doesn't list the song as the "Click", but it is and there is a music video for it... I also love the hidden track, it is so sweet! I love this band so much that I even got my 3 closest friends hooked on them, hehe..Overall this band is amazing, I can totally relate to what they say in thier songs, and just as a sidenote, Joel and Benji are hot!!! Lol.... So, hope this helps, and remember to buy it! You won't regret it!
