Free Music Review: A SMALL STEP FOR MUSIC...A GIANT LEAP FOR GOOD CHARLOTTE
Hit: 5 Stars

My first exposure to Good Charlotte was when their first CD had just come out and they were running a promotion with a teenage fashion chain that I had taken my then 16 year old niece to buy her a birthday present. From then on I considered them to be trendy pretty boy punk poseurs with hearts of pure pop - second rate Blink 182, third rate Green Day.

Well "Good Morning Revival" has changed my opinion. Just as "American Idiot" took Green Day to a new level, this new CD has elevated Good Charlotte's status from wannabe to full fledged, fully developed rock stars. Chris Daughtry stand aside Good Charlotte has arrived.

Starting with the introductory "Good Morning Revival" the band shows that they're no longer your teenaged niece's Good Charlotte. Featuring confident vocals, strong playing and near flawless songwriting, Good Charlotte has grown up and delivers the goods. With a diversity of songs exploring their dark side ("Misery," "The River," "All Black" and "Broken Hearts Parade"), their romantic side ("Where Would We Be" and "A Beautiful Place") and even their optimistic side (who knew) with the CD closer "March On," Good Charlotte shows that they can outdo current hipster hype stars like Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and The Killers.

And they should have the opportunity to prove it to the world as "Good Morning Revival" has several potential strong singles such as "Victims Of Love," "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" with its processed vocal and two songs that carry the power of early Police "Something Else" and "Dance Floor Anthem."

Even brats have to grow up and I apologize to the members of Good Charlotte for underestimating them. If they continuing leaping forward like they have with this CD they might have to change their name from Good Charlotte to Great Charlotte.

Don't take my word - listen for yourself and you be the judge.

Free Music Review: The Next Sgt. Pepper
Hit: 5 Stars

OK, I am not a kid and my life is not a nightmare...

Benji, Joel, Billy, Paul and the nameless drummer, you have done it. Billy has come of age on this CD, as his keyboard solos have progressed from three notes (see the past two CD's) to full-fledged orchestrations.

This CD is the breakthrough that the world of music has been waiting for since the Beatles broke up. John, Paul, George and their nameless drummer (just kidding Ringo), step aside.

Benji and Joel may have once worked at the Golden Corral in Waldorf, MD with Mary King and company (yes, they waited on me once, I gave them a lousy tip), but they have come a long way since then. After dealing with Ms. Duff (their Yoko), I am glad to see the band emerge with such a strong release.

Just as the Beatles were knocked for delaying the release of Sgt. Pepper, the critics derided GC for pushing back "GMR's" release date. Now the joke is on them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving music from the likes of The Killers, Panic! and Da Fall Out Boiez...now don't pull a Beatles and break up. ;-)

Free Music Review: Entertains me just like a band should
Hit: 5 Stars

I honestly don't know why everyone hates good charolette, they have a great sound and I find myself dancing to their songs, which is really what music should do to you. Everyone always compares this to their first ablum, it's not as great, well I honestly like this better then their first one. I think GC fans are pissed that they're slowly going into a punk/pop genre which isn't that bad at all. So what if GC changes their sound, their messages still remain the same. Their whole sound throughout this ablum is like "I don't want to be in love" aka "dance athem". And if you really thought that song was annoying, then don't waste your money. But me and my friends love putting on GC in the car and rocking out to them, I really don't care what anyone thinks. I like their songs. And people say they're trying to be Greenday...I don't see the resemblance at all. Greenday is caught up with politics for number one and their songs are too played out. So if your someone who wants to listen to good songs which makes you want to dance then buy this cd.

Free Music Review: Best yet from Good Charlotte
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a fan of Good Charlotte from the beginning. They have a specific trademark: their music has always been a reflection of where they are in life. When they started out, they were high school kids working through their parents' divorce and being excluded in gym class, cruising the streets and dreaming of stardom. Their music has grown with them and this album is a reflection of where they are now. The songs on GMR are well-written, catchy, and soulful. Of course their sound will change as they get older and learn more about music - if it didn't, we would be complaining that they never grew up.

Give it a listen. I was pleasantly surprised. These songs really are great.

Free Music Review: Long time fan & I say this is their BEST YET.
Hit: 5 Stars

I love the new sound & direction GC took with this album. The thing people need to realise is that life isn't all about labels. They never claimed to be punk or anything like that, they are just themselves. Deal with it. They're not going anywhere.

Now onto the album review. Joel's voice sounds amazing on every song & the lyrics are really great. I think this is their best album yet, lyrically & musically. The best songs IMO are Broken Hearts Paradge, The River, Misery, Victims of Love, Where Would We Be Now...they are all really great. So if you want a great record to relate to & dance to...this is for you.
