Hit: 5 Stars

Okay, this Album RULES, it has helped me thru the day. Let me do a review for ya.

A New Beginning- Just an opening, the music is great and you can relax to it.10/10

The Anthem- A REALLY good song. Tells kids/teens who dont fit in that you dont have to be like them, you are better than that. I give is a 100/10

Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous- A song to the cheesy celebrities(...) that complain about being famous is too hard but GC is telling them to shut up and feel lucky.10/10

Wondering- It sounds like a love song but Benji Madden from GC says it is dedicated to his dog. I think it is sweet so I give it a 10/10

The story of my old man- A song telling people out the Twins (Benji and Joel)'s dad and how he walked out on them. 10/10

Girls and Boys- A song to all the chessy people out there that only like people for money, I think it is a great song and VERY true. 10/10

My Bloody Valentine- Another wierd song, not sure what it is about but It is also really good! 10/10

Hold On- The best song on the album, It is telling kids/teens that you can get thru life, and Suicide is not the answer. It is true and sweet. It is anti-suicide song 100/10

Riot Girl- Talks about their dream girl. I like te beat and great-writing Joel! 10/10

Say Anything- A sweet love song that talks about a gril ignoring him. 10/10

The Day I die- If your mad at the world, throw this song on and sit there and listen. 10/10

The young and The hopeless- their songs are really helpful and are so true. This song is about life, seeming like you cant do anything right. I love this, One of my fav. 100/10

Emotionless- A GREAT sad song. I was crying when I heard it. it is about the Twins dad, and how they can forgive but not forget. On- A song saying they can move on from the past. the lyrics are GREAT.10/10

Over-all: This album is GREAT and I say BUY IT NOW! The songs are true and they help me thru the day. I give them They are great.

Free Music Review: Young & The Hopeless Retail Review
Hit: 5 Stars

The Young & The Hopeless is one of the BEST cd's I have ever bought! I am a HUGE GC fan and I got the cd the day after it was released and it rocks! It's a great pop-punk album with great songs on it that most anyone can relate to.

The first song is just music, no lyrics and it gets you ready for what's to come. It's really cool.

The Anthem is one of my favorites.. it's about not being like everybody else and it's a GREAT song!

Lifestyles is a great song too.. it has an awesome beat and just makes you wanna dance!

My Old Man is sort of a sad song but it has a great beat and I can relate to it in a way.

Wondering is my favorite song on this album. I just LOVE the beat to it and the way Joel sings the lyrics is just really cool!

Boys and Girls is a cool song.. it's just a really fun song to listen to.

My Bloody Valentine.. whoo! This is another one of my favs.. it's a really sweet song and the way the lyrics are sung is really cool..

Say Anything is a cool song. It's more really about love than anything else but it's a good song.

Hold On is a very inspiring song. It lets you know that you're not alone with the things you have to go through and you should just hold on and everything will turn out okay. It's inspired me a lot.

Riot Girl~ I love this song.. especially with the references to Britney and Christina.. haha.. it's really great!

The Day That I Die is a great song too. It's really catchy and in a way, sad too.

The Young & The Hopeless is a song I REALLY can relate to. It just expresses the most normal feelings of a teenager and its really a cool song.

Emotionless is the saddest song on the cd.. it made me cry the first time I listened to it.. it's very emotional and it is just so touching. It's definitely one of my favs.

Moving On is a GREAT song too! I love the chorus, it's really catchy and its a REAL song.. you can relate to it and the lyrics mean something.

Overall the album is great and I reccomend EVERYONE to go check it out! Good Charlotte ROCKS!

Free Music Review: Great CD
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm not a teenybopper, I'm not a 12 year old girl that follows all the current trends and tries to dress like the members of bands they listen to. I'm just a regular guy that has no clue why the heck everybody finds GC so horrible. Honestly, these songs are not THAT BAD. I mean sure, its not too complicated to play these songs on guitar, save for a few short 10-15 second solos on some songs, but face it: these guys put together great, catchy songs that can easily appeal to anybody if your open-minded enough to accept them. I mean, just listen to The Anthem, I remember first hearing that song early this year, and yet everytime I listen to it I still love it just as much as I did the first time. Not only that, but the song gives hope to kids who are outcasts in school and aren't like everybody else to be themselves and not care. And thats not the only meaningful song on the record, Hold On which is about suicide, really appeals to those who are thinking about committing suicide themselves, the video helps too. Sure, not all the lyrics are meaningful, some are quite cheesy, but thats not the point. The point is they get their message across truly and clearly in every song so that you can know what each song is all about. People say that crossing over to a major label made GC sell-out and become poppy, but is that really their fault? Their label tells them what to do and how their image should be. Speaking of image, why should people care if their posers? I mean I'll admit they are, but it doesn't matter, the songs on this CD are appealing, meaningful and just plain catchy. People say they can't play their instruments good, but I've seen them live, and they nailed everything down perfectly, definetly better than other pop-punk peers of them that I've seen play (blink-182 to name one, GC was just as good as Sum 41). So if you want to completely ignore GC and not give them a chance just because they have a major label and have a bad image, thats fine. But if your fan, I say you listen and enjoy.

Free Music Review: Absolutely Great Followup To A Classic!
Hit: 5 Stars

Good Charlotte's debut album was incredible, combining driving punk rhythms with mellow harmonizing vocals and smooth, creative ballads to produce a classic. Its been two years since the first CD, and anxiety has been following "The Young and The Hopeless" around every corner- from critics to fans alike. Everyone set the standards high, but this manages to deliver on every level. The band keeps the formula which made their first cd successful, but shows much growth between the two. Benji, Joel, Paul and Billy created a set of 14 songs so catchy that any listener get up and sing along, sympathesize or identify with, or just listen to for the sake of hearing good music for once. GC has really dipped into a few new musical styles- no two tracks sound the same, but all are oddly alike for some reason I cant put my finger on. Its tough to decide if its better than the original- but I honestly think it is.. its really been awhile since I've had a CD that I can listen to start to finish and completely enjoy. Any punk fan should pick this up, as well as the GC guys out there who shouldnt have to even think twice! If ya like Mest, Lucky Boys Confusion, NFG, Blink, Green Day, Home Grown, or ya get the point- buy GC's latest effort- you will not regret it! Go check em in concert- they are the best to their fans
Fav songs:
"Say Anything"- Great, deep song about the awkwardness and sadness
of a loss- be it girlfriend, best friend, or anyone
"The Anthem"- Awesome, catchy song about not giving into trends
and just being yourself and having fun- the typical GC anthem
"The Young and The Hopeless"- Incredible, fast punk song... about
GCs struggles as a band and all the obstacles they've faced-
dont ever give up local bands
"Hold On"- Moving song by Joel and Benjis to their fans who can
identify with family problems- things get better, just hold
on
And of course Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!!!!! Buy this now!!!!!!
