This is a unique gathering of musical giants. Where else can you find a CD with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Scotty Moore, James Burton, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Robert Plant and Bob Dylan. This much starpower has never been put on one CD before. Every song sounds like a hit. Some like Plant, Dylan, Tom Petty and Bryan Ferry definitely try to be rockabilly while others like LIVE and Kid Rock do what they do best. Many of the legendary artists on Good Rockin' Tonight cover Sun classics like "That's All Right" (Paul McCartney) and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On" (Elton John) without straying far from the original version. What makes this CD truly exciting is the younger bands like LIVE and the HOWLING DIABLOS (with Kid Rock) who pump up the disc with modern rock and roll fire. This CD is a great compilation of the best talent of our time. Although most of the artists don't seem to venture far from the original artist's version,the Howling Diablos stand out as a fearless and creative band, giving "Drinkin' Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee" (with Kid Rock) a completely new life for a new generation. I hope we hear more from these guys! Can't wait to see them on the PBS special Nov. 28th.Free Music Review: GREAT!

I absolutely love this CD. I am a huge Matchbox Twenty fan and bought the CD to hear their rendition of Charlie Rich's Lonely Weekend. And they definitely didn't disappoint me. They absolutely ROCK on this song. My other two favorites are Sheryl Crow's and Eric Clapton's. The whole album is superb!! Buy it now. great collection, high quality. most (but not all) artists catch well atmosphere the 1950's rock&roll. An outstanding contribution is the one by Bob Dylan. The track of only two minutes is sounding great; instrumentally and vocally. He is singing with a good sense of humour.
