Lunatico is marvelous and adventurous album that engages you from the very first note and never lets you go. Laced with subtle percussion, hypnotizing acoustic guitars, and seductive Spanish vocals, Lunatico is a brave and exotic experiment that simply works. this feels a lot like revancha del tango, which is exactly what i wanted since i've pretty much worn that cd through. it's a bit funkier in places, but still has that sexy tango beat going throughout. i would absolutely recommend this to anyone...i can't imagine who it wouldn't appeal to. all of the songs are great, but i like criminal and diferente in particular.
also, check out ojos de brujo's new album re-mixing cale bari (and definitely check out cale bari if you haven't already)...it's the same ridiculously hot songs from before, with a little bit harder dance beat. good if you've worn that cd through as well. :)

after the whole vibe "spicehouse " has created recentlly i must add that this is the cream of the cream in inovating music. i mean the genre "tango" has always been something of a mistery reserved to "wise old men" sort of say. this album transcends all that for the new generation.
the production here is probablly the best i ever seen. there is only 1 track (celio) that sounds like a fill up( well none is perfct). everything else falls in a perfect loop towards reaching an active meditation.this record will not make you fall asleep but brings a lot of emotions.
overall it has an uptempo chill out beat.what stands out is its mediteranian influences compunded on a tango genere.if u do not this band you could mistaken it as a spanish/italian/south american/african or generally european production.
this is great as well for a romantic encounter.any 2 parties involved in a sentimental relationship will find this easy to "open up" while listening to such sound.
i listen to all this band's albums but i found the previous releases experimental at best.here they have polished themseves and got the groove on . vocals are very sensitive and especially fall on at the right time and with the right accent.the lady has a 1920's vibration wich comes wicked and yet sentimentally calculated on this modern acid jazz vibe with its tango specifics
i cant really pick a favourite song(s) but i will try:
-"diferente"- i really love its message
-"mi confesion" is dep chilling
-"amor porteno" is first track with the purpose of chilling you out before starting a jurney of self discoery
-"arrabal" is the point where you grab the partener and do that innovatve tango dance "a la'" pulp fiction style...
