Free Music Notes for Sacred Hearts & Fallen Angels: AnthologyFree Music Review: BUY THIS NOW!. Hit: 5 Stars
This is the absolute best compilation of Gram's work. EVERY song is awesome and it is FULL of cool stuff to read and see. Great photos and behind-the-songs information. You will NOT be disappointed with this set. I promise you. He invented this kind of "country" - in my opinion. If youre looking for his work with the International Submarine Band and the Flying Burrito Bros. THIS is a good start....or ...just a good bunch of songs to have. God Bless Gram Parsons!
Free Music Review: God's Own Singer Hit: 5 Stars
I am writing this review for one reason only; it is my birthday the day they released this record, and what a nice gift. I am listening to it as I write this. The thing about Gram, as with Elvis, is he is simply the best at what he does. This said: it just keeps getting better as time goes on. Pick this up and you will hear one of God's Own Singers.
Free Music Review: Wonderful stuff Hit: 5 Stars
If you have none of Gram Parson's work, this is a good place to start. It's all good, but the works with Emmylou Harris are absolutely beautiful. While always a Birds fan, most of the Burrito's work and Gram's solo efforts were a bit "too country" for me back in the day. What a fool I was.
Free Music Review: Older Guys Hit: 5 Stars
"Older Guys" by Gram and the Burritos doesn't really sound like him. The song rocks and it shows that what Chris Hillman said in the liner notes to this albue was true. Gram Parsons did not leave behind a huge body of work but what he did leave behind was prime.
Free Music Review: If you love Gram you must have this CD Hit: 5 Stars
An in depth and beautiful anthology. This CD sounds incredible. It is so nicely produced and has such an intimate feeling. This is perfect. Plain and simple, if you love this music you must have this.
