Free Music Notes for Grease II (1982 Film)Free Music Review: I love this cd! Hit: 5 StarsThis is probably the fifth time I have purchased this cd. I just wear it out listening to it.
Granted the movie and some of the songs are a little corny, but I always find myself dropping what I am doing and singing along to the cd.
Cool Rider and Let's Do It For Our Country are personal favorites.
This is a great cd to exercise too also.
Free Music Review: i know i'm not alone Hit: 4 Starsi know there are other people like me out there who like the music from 2 better than from the original.
Free Music Review: I love Grease 2 Hit: 5 Starsthis cd rocks

cheesy but fun!
Free Music Review: Grease 2 Hit: 4 StarsThe songs sounded just like the movie Grease 2, except for the song "Do it for your Country" ,did not hear the girl singing with the boy like in the movie.
Free Music Review: a guilty pleasure Hit: 3 StarsGREASE 2 crashed and burned at the box-office, but has built up quite a cult following over the years. The story followed Sandy's intellectual cousin Michael (Maxwell Caulfield), as he attended Rydell High and fell helplessly in love with 'Pink Lady' Stephanie (Michelle Pfeiffer).
Essentially it was the same story as the original "Grease" but the roles were reversed - geeky Michael had to dumb himself down in order to win the affections of Stephanie.
The soundtrack of the film is a load of fun. Both Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer's singing is quite excellent; and the rest of the cast are clearly having a ball, too.
Lorna Luft is totally adorable with "Reproduction" and "Score Tonight"; not to mention the oh-so-cute "Girl for All Seasons" (the cheesy number that the Pink Ladies perform for the talent show). Michelle Pfeiffer sets the pulses racing with "Cool Rider", and later pulls at the heart-strings with "(Love Will) Turn Back the Hands of Time". Maxwell Caulfield is at his best with "Charades".
The soundtrack album faithfully recreates the numbers just like they are heard in the film - with one exception. Maureen Teefy was unable to make it to the recording session for "Do It for Our Country". Peter Frechette does his best, but the number was written as a duet and Teefy's performance in the film was priceless. I wonder why the duet could not have been lifted directly from the optical film soundtrack. Oh well.
For fans of GREASE 2, this soundtrack album is a smart buy...and at a sweet price, too.
