Free Music Notes for Grease (Original 1978 Motion Picture Soundtrack)Free Music Review: One of my all time favorite movie soundtracks Hit: 5 Stars
This is definitely a must have c.d. for the big fans of the movie version of Grease. All the songs that are performed in the film, are on this album. I had the LP of this when the movie came out, I have no idea where it is so I had to buy the c.d. ...it is one of the few c.d.'s I own that I listen to repeatedly..it's also the most fun to listen to cuz I know the words to every song, and I have fun singing along to it while I am doing house work, or most recently, in my car, after a rough day, it was the perfect music to lift my spirits up. I loved the play too, and there a few songs that aren't here from the play, but they weren't in the movie either! It's probably a good idea to have both the original Broadway version of the soundtrack along with this if you have seen the play and miss the few missing songs. GREASE IS THE WORD......
Free Music Review: A Musical Classic That Can't Be Beat!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I was only 9 years old when this movie came out, and I still remember my friends father taking us to the theater to see it - we were still singing the songs to eachother way past our bedtime, and loving every minute of it!
Then, when I was in my 20's, I remember being at various clubs & bars that would play the music from Grease, and every time the entire place would come alive with everyone singing along - its just that kind of music - your feet seem to start moving and your voice start singing before you even know whats happening...
The music from Grease in definately 1950's in style, and includes rock-n-roll, doo wop & ballads - there's quite a lot of variety when you think about it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who enjoyed the movie/play &/or likes 50's-style music. You won't be disappointed!
Free Music Review: Prepare to be transported to Summer Nights Hit: 5 Stars
Well here we are with a great piece of history. This album has not only captured the spirit of the movie but the essence of a 1970's version of the 1950's. I have seen this play live and yes some things are different. Yet I grew up on the movie. I even find myself singing some of the songs now and then. Of course you will never see me singing "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee." However I do keep this in my car as great driving music. This album is not you can pick apart and say things like missing songs, in the wrong order etc. It sounds and feels just right. There will be many versions yet this one is the [Original 1978 Motion Picture Soundtrack]

Free Music Review: A feel-good, sing-along soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
Although I'm not usually a fan of movie soundtracks, my one big exception is Grease! Who wouldn't love this collection of sing-along songs that brighten your mood no matter when, or how often, you listen to them? Since Grease is also one of my all-time favorite movies, hearing the songs automatically makes me recall the particular scene they correlate with, and I invariably start smiling.
Grease consists of many talented actors and actresses, most of whom could sing as well as they could act. Therefore, each song -- including numerous solos by John Travolta, Oliva Newton-John and Stockard Channing -- is a treat to listen to.
If I were only allowed to bring one CD to the proverbial deserted island, Grease would probably be it! This is one purchase that will pay off, time and time again.
