I think Grease is an absolute classic. There is really nothing like it. John Travolta was in his prime. The music is fantastic and it is so fun to watch.

Without a question, probably THE best c.d. ever made. And, I do have to disagree with one of the other reviewers. I do have the original record from the Broadway version of Grease (which I saw) and it does not even come close to the movie version. However, I have to agree that most of the time, Broadway cast recordings are better than the movie versions, but NOT IN THIS CASE! And in reference to ruining the movie by making it a "two person show", I think the producers knew what they were doing, I mean, Grease (the movie) still holds the record for the most album sales ever of a movie musical! This c.d. contains some of the best 50's music along with some of Olivia's classic tunes. I still have my 8-track verson of this one!!!Free Music Review: One of the Best in History

There is one of the biggest factors which helped Grease movie to become the best musical ever.As everyone can remember, Grease was a big hit around 1978-1979, and it's being shown again around the world because of its 20th anniversary. The sountrack is great, with full of Rock'n'Roll tunes, popular at the time the plot takes place. Olivia Neton John and John Travolta are accompanied with Sha-Na-Na, Franklie Valli and lots of other people from the movie.The sountrack has been listened for 20 years and it went number one in the charts again.It's a great sountrack, with full of memories and great Rock'n'Roll tunes. If you've seen the movie, and love the music in it, pick up this single disc reissue of the original classic 2-LP album. I have the original record album and played it quite frequently. It's good to hnag on to, but in the past year I bought this single disc and don't have to worry about this getting worn out.All the original songs from the film are here. The songs are done in the style a typical '50s rock'n'roll song or ballad. The title track by Frankie Valli went to #1. Performers are John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, the cast that's too long to
mention and the nostalgic group Sha-Na-Na. "Grease is the word!"

THIS IS A FANTASTIC SOUNDTRACK I LOVE IT. IT IS CLASSIC, IT IS HIP, IT IS FUN, AND A WHOLE LOT OF OTHER THINGS. JOHN TRAVOLTA SHOWS HIS SINGING ABILITY IN THIS MOVIE . HE SHOW EVERYONE THAT HE HAS SOME ROCK AND ROLL ABILITIES. AND OLIVIA SHOWS HER ABILITIES AS WELL AND SO DOES STOCKARD CHANNING. I LOVE THIS MOVIE IT IS INCREDIBLE I LIKE THIS SOUNDTRACK AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECCOMEND ANYONE WHO LIKES THE ROCK AND ROLL AND THE MUSIC FROM THIS VIDEO TO DEFINITELY BUT THIS VIDEO AND FRANKI VALI CONTRIBUTES TO THIS SOUNDTRACK, AND THE GUY WHOMEVER SINGS BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS ON THIS SOUNDTRACK!!!
