Free Music Review: Another outstanding effort - well worth the wait!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

If you like Green Day's music this is another great effort. If you one of those pinheads who think they sold out because they decided to not remake Dookie until the end of time you probably won't like it.

As they have grown they still use what they do well (a great vocalist and songwriter and tight highly skilled playing) and have learned how to create dramatically different songs and lyrics into a cohesive album with a central theme.

This one has more depth than American Idiot and each time I have played it I like it more and more. it's another masterpiece and I for one applaud a band that can make challenging, intellectual music that the masses can also appreciate.

Free Music Review: Terrific piece!
Hit: 5 Stars

So far in 2009, three albums stand out: No Line On The Horizon, Sounds of the Universe, and 21st Century Breakdown... all three feature artists - U2, Depeche Mode, Green Day - who've been around more than a few years, motivated, even obsessed I'd say, to produce an album that's fresh, introspective & impressive... with artistic integrity. I admire their effort - and their hard work paid off - fine work guys!

Green Day's latest effort is their best I think, and to me it's placed them in the ranks of the finest songwriters ever! If you're stuck on old Green Day then you probably won't like it - but you'd be missing out on the impressive progression of a great band...

Free Music Review: Green Day still has it!
Hit: 5 Stars

I personally love this new album, and it's been a long time coming! After one listen, it certainly has a different feel to it than American Idiot had. The album is certainly different, and in a way I don't like it, but after a few listens to the album, the songs really do grow on you. I think this album was written from their hearts, and I applaud them for their tremendous effort. Now if only they would come to Klamath Falls and sing for us!
I especially like these songs:
1)Know your enemy
2)Viva la Gloria!
3)21 guns
4)Horseshoes and Handgrenades
5)Last night on Earth

Keep up the good work Green Day, you rock!

Free Music Review: Amazingly Consistent
Hit: 5 Stars

I haven't seen such consistency in a rock album since Led Zeppelin's fourth or Cat Stevens' Tea for the Tillerman. While I loved American Idiot, that album was mixed for me in that it had several truly great songs, but a large number that I didn't much like at all.

This album has each and every song rated four stars in my iTunes (not counting the intro track). I can just put on the whole album and enjoy listening to everything, which is not something I can say to the vast majority of albums. True, this one doesn't have as many five-star ratings (my opinion) as American Idiot, but it more than makes up for it with the entire splendid lineup.

Free Music Review: Another great sounding CD by Green Day!
Hit: 5 Stars

In all honesty, this new Green Day CD is pretty good! And yes, over the years they have mellowed a little...but haven't we all! Their sound is good, vocals top notch and dare I say it...a hint of The Beatles! I really like the direction they have chosen, it's music you can crank up and should be anyway! Another plus is that they didn't short change us on length, giving us eighteen songs at a little over the sixty-nine minute mark! Some say that could be overkill for a CD but I look at it like it giving us two albums on one CD! Everything is pretty much worth listening to with not too much filler! Check it out! I recommend it highly!
