Green Day's new album 21st century breakdown is one of the best albums ever made. It's fun and serious at the same time. It has angry punk songs,heartfelt ballads and even some love songs. The album is mainly about the characters Christian and Gloria's struggle and despair in this century. I have always been a fan of Green Day but hearing this album made me really fall in love with the band. Billie Joe's lyrics are just plain brilliant! You can rock out to the song 'Know your enemy' and cry to the song 21 Guns. Overall this album is epic and will still be played in the 22nd century. my advice is by this album-you wont regret it.Free Music Review: In a perfect world...

American Idiot wouldn't exist and this would have been the follow up to Warning so we could truly appreciate it's brilliance and keep from having to listen to claims that this album is American Idiot Part II. This record is amazing and really captures the vibe of growing in Northern California in the late Seventies, Eighties and early Nineties. Billie Joe has really managed to find his voice and this album is perhaps his strongest lyrically. The only redeeming thing about American Idiot was the epic Jesus of Suburbia song cycle. This album is strong from start to finish and will be looked back upon as a monumental record.Free Music Review: When are you too old to Rock?

Green Day is AWESOME, what else can I say. This Album should have been nominated for album of the year and should have won. I can't belive it wasn't even considered. I listen to the entire album all the time and I have not grown tired of it. Love it, love it, love it!!!
I saw them in concert in San Jose, CA last year and I must say it was the best concert I've seen, 3 and 1/2 hours of non stop music from the old songs to the new ones. I will never forget it, it was a really great experience. They are definite future Music Hall of Famers.
You will not be disappointed if you buy the album.

Green Day's "21st Century Breakdown" follows the formula they used on "American Idiot" once again creating a rock opera. Sometimes when an artist tries to copy a successful formula it doesn't always work, it does here however. If you like "Idiot" you will love "21st Century Breakdown". The album has everything that makes for a great rock album, crunchy guitars, crashing drums, hook filled lyrics and rebellion. One of the stand out tracks in my opinion is the Russian folk sounding "Peacemaker". The whole album though is fantastic. This could be the best album of 2009.
