Free Music Notes for Bullet In A Bible (CD/DVD)Free Music Review: Green Day Rocks in Concert! Hit: 5 Stars
After seeing Bullet in a Bible on FUSE, I knew that I needed to get this CD/DVD. Some may disagree with Samuel Bayer's choice in camera changes during the movie but I personally didn't find any problem with it. It sort of captures the spirit of the band itself, coming at you from many directions and you never know what's going to happen next. Green Day is AWESOME in concert and this DVD is evidence of it. From Billie Joe's crazy antics in St. Jimmy to his heroic and heartfelt performance of Wake Me Up When September Ends, Green Day shows it's versatility as a band and their highly polished skills as musicians/entertainers.
The CD, however, is the star of the show here. It's a showcase of 14 of Greenday's greatest songs, as well as a great cover of Shout. My personal favorite among the live versions of these classic songs is Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)It puts an awesome twist to Green Day's Anthemic juggernaut of a song (it was featured on Seinfeld!) The song serves as a great conclusion to an awesome journey down Green Day's career. It's Just Billie Joe, his electric guitar, and a crowd of over 10,000 people. You've got to check out the interaction between Billie and the crowd on the DVD, It's Amazing.
The only real Gripe I had was that they could have packed on a couple extra tunes. My picks would be Welcome to Paradise, Christie Road and Who Wrote Holden Caulfield, all of which were in their Comp'd concert on FUSE. Oh well. Go out and buy this if you need proof of Green Day's talent. Don't buy it if your allergic to great alternative/punk music!
Free Music Review: Amazing Documentary. Hit: 5 Stars
First off id like to state that im 17 and not 13, i just didnt feel like making an account. I think all the reviewers on here are looking at this in the wrong way, Green Day never promised a live concert only DVD. As a huge fan, i knew months in advance this was going to be a documentary, not just a straight up concert. With that said, were presented with the Documentary (The DVD) and the Soundtrack to that documentary(CD). Sure all 6 songs were cut from the set list, but thats besides the point, this was a documentary that was made by them to capture what they saw as the best moments of there touring career to date, and with that the interviews of how they felt and how they got to this point. This DVD is absolutley brilliant, the way the Segments/Interviews are weaved inbetween concert footage really brings out the emotion/energy of the concert. I think as time goes on, people will began to see what a masterpiece this truly is, until then, please dont listen to the reviewers who complained about how they feel there getting ripped off. Oh and its not anyones fault that the people who reviewed this had no clue what to expect, there obviously not real fans, either that or they just had there heads up there a**es. My last point, DONT Buy off of Amazon, they are a rip. I got my 2 copies of bullet in a bible for $14.98 a piece at target. Also i do agree that amazon should change there setlist that they have above, as it has been wrong for months now, but again any fan should have known this ahead of time. Enjoy this great DVD!
Free Music Review: great!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This is absolutely great i had American Idiot before i got this and i was desperate for more, now after getting this im satisfied, for now
here is my review
DVD
camerawork is ok but could of been better i think they kind of overdid it with the fuzzing out and black and white but it did not bother me too much
now for the songs on the dvd
1.American idiot (4.8/5) great opener
2. Jesus Of Suburbia (5/5) one of my personal favorites, tre cool does a great preformance here
3. Holiday (5/5) another one of my personal favorites, classic
4. are we the waiting/ St. Jimmy (4/5) are we the waiting has a nice slow beat st. jimmy upbeat and exciting
5.longview (4.6/5) one of the great older green day songs
6. hitchen a ride (3.5) i would of given this a 4 except there is some off coler humor in it (about half way into the song Billy Joe starts an audience interlude that slowly morphs into him pretending to pleasure himself then he screams "SOMEBODY F*CK ME!!!")

8. Basket Case (4.5/5) this one is also good
9. king for a day/shout (2/5) dont really like this one much

Free Music Review: Finally an official Live CD and DVD Hit: 5 Stars
I am just as pissed as everyone else that they left off some of the best songs from that concert, but I do understand why they did. Try to add all 6 deleted songs on to that CD and see if that CD is any less than 105 minutes. It just can't happen, they can't fit 100+ minutes on a 80-minute CD it would have had to be a 2 CD set(the DVD could hold the songs, but instead put in the documentary it has more space) and it would have cost like $25 at the least.
Reprise is a good label, but they are a business and the teenagers and young adults that listen to green day aren't about to fork out $30.00 for a live CD. So now on to the positives.
I saw Green day on 4/20 in Charlotte and it was a great show. Like one reviewer said it was very rehearsed but still, why do people see movies a second time, they are reharsed. But still this is a good represntation of the show. I am so glad they didn't edit out Basket Case but still.
Buying this CD beats the heck out of downloading crappy quality MP3's and single B-Sides for a live CD. I tried after I saw them, it sucks. It is a LOT better than the other 2 Mid-90's live mini-records they released(i think they each had like 6 songs on them) so it's this or nothing. I like this CD, I am happy I bought it. The +'s outweigh the -'s and in the 21st century of crappy rap music that warrant this CD 5 stars.
Free Music Review: Uh Whatta ya call bad Hit: 5 Stars
Well kid obviously you can't read (no offensnse) it does say explicit lyrics and has the parental guidence thingy but i'll tell you whatta do
1. If you have a good connection you can listen to one of the song previews above
2. I am 10 and what worked for me was lettin g my DAD (do you have a dad) listen to it coz' even though they swear and he hates bad language he like them.
3. Depending on where you come from you could just buy a clean version of the CD/DVD
4. Does yor mum and dad get agro about drugs well if they do (this works for sweaering as well) say you won't watch the bad bits and just mute it when they swear.
5. To answer you though the do say the "F" word alot but it doesn't matter (really) they also talk about drugs i once sang "Give me Novacaine" in school and gotta detention \
6. Play the CD on a discman so your parents don't hear the laanguage
7. This is cool (the albumn) coz' unlike lots of their albumns it doesn't have lyrics so your mum won't know
8. Also just to draw this to your attention the Jesus of Suburbia video is a bit dodgy its just (really) him having sex and taking drugs don't watch it (with your mum)
Now to my review
THIS
Thanks
