I got this cd/dvd the first day it came out. WOW! This is an incredible dvd (I'll get to the cd later)! First of all there are no moments in the concert when the performances start slowing down or get even a little dry. The interview segments are awesome and funny and tell great insights on the making of AI and Bullet in a Bible and everythiung in between. In the concert it starts with American Idiot and goes through the album up to St. Jimmy with the exception of Boulevard which is number 13. The highlights are "King for a Day/Shout" "Minority" and the electric guitar version of "Good Riddance". And there is also a great segment where they interview people in the audience. It's really interesting. The CD was also incredible. It is the Milton Keynes concert with the exception of some segments where billie joe talks to the audience. It's one of the best concert cd's I've ever heard, the sound quality is incredible. Overall this is an incredible buy. First off, I'm not a kid I just don't feel like making an account.
Now, after seeing all these reviews of jaded punker-than-thou critics, how about a review by someone who was actually AT this show?
I'm an American but I went to Milton Keynes to see the June 18th concert. It was amazing, there's no way the energy, excitement, and overall epicness (is that a word?) could be packed into your TV screen but it came pretty close with this DVD! I've been front-row-center at three different Green Day shows but none of them even compare to this show at Milton Keynes. Because they were playing to an audience three times their normal size, Billie, Mike, Tre, and the rest of the backup band put in three times the effort, but at the same time they didn't show off for the cameras. What you see in this documentary is not sugar-coated or "fake", and there's 130,000 people who will tell you the same.
EVERYONE BUY THIS!!!

When I read the reviews for this before I had a chance to get out, I was very nervous that I would be dissapointed. However, I was very happy with it. I, like many others, was dissapointed that they cut songs out (especially She). I did not find the interviews annoying. I thought they were interesting, and did not lose the rush. As soon as the next song started I was right back into it. One thing I did find slightly annoying was the filming from behind Green Day and a lot and switching to black and white. That, to me, took the momentum away more than the interviews...because it felt like you were falling out of the concert. They were making it obvious that you were not there by switching to black and white.
The CD part is awesome. I love live versions of songs, because you get the feeling of how special the moment is. Billy lets the crowd sing a lot of parts and that sounds so awesome to me
All in all, it is great!
Free Music Review: Very Fine Work...

I recieved the dule disk set (dvd/cd) for Christmas and I was very impressed. I dont have all of Green Day's Alubums, but I have been a fan for a long time. I have heard that they have been good w/t other bands, too.
But, going back to the set, I thought it was preaty good. I know how people like there older music, better than there newer music, but GD fans like me, like both. If you like the newer stuff, Buy this dvd. If you like both, you still should buy this dvd. If you like the older stuff, I sugest that you check this dvd out from like a friend, to see how well GD is doing. So, I think that this dvd is really worth buying.
On the cd, it has live tracks from the two summer preformances in UK,which is preaty awesome. The dvd shows the preformance w/t interviews about the American Idiot cd. I really enjoied this dvd. So yeh. Thats why I gave it 5 stars. GD is awesome!
Free Music Review: Open your Minds, People!

First thing first, Green Day is one of the only modern bands that will ever weather the sands of time. In years, you'll never hear of any of these newer punk-rock fads.
Next thing, it is nearly impossible for any combination of songs or quality of recording to possibly make Green Day sound as bad as other reviewers say "Bullet in the Bible" is.
Third on the agenda (and definitely not for President Oil-Curious George), it takes intelligence to understand intelligence. Real Musicians are some of the cleverest, smartest, and down-to-earth people, whether High School dropouts or not. Green Day's lyrics are some of the best punk lyrics ever.
Though the lyrics are "explicit", can you really believe kids have never heard a swear word? It's not going to rot their brains, I promise.
