Green Day have finally celebrated their long years of playing and what better than to release Bullet in a Bible, an epic version of their widely known American Idiot tour, and at their biggest gig since Woodstock 1994.
I see that people have been complaining about the lack of color in some sequences, but I think that adds to the artistic image that the band has been trying to follow with throughout the entire "era" of American Idiot. It's a very artistic DVD, which takes a little getting used to, but 10 minutes in you realize that it is clearly appropriate.
I also feel the interviews between the performances give a follow-up on what each song represents, as well as their crazy personalities in their early 30's.
All in all; Bullet in a Bible is MUST for Green Day fans, and gives you a completely different perspective of their lyrics.

I was very impressed with Bullet In A Bible, it shows Green Days maturity in songs like Are we the waiting, Wake me up when september ends and Boulevard of broken dreams, and their chaotic side with tracks like Brain stew, King for a day and Basket case plus great anthemish songs Jesus of suburbia and holiday and ending with an amazing rendition of Good Riddance. At the end you're left exactly where should be after a great punk show, questioning everything even you're own existence and very satisfied.
Overall it has all you could ask for with inside views on what the songs mean to the band, great live footage and impressive sound quality for a live show.
With the passings of Joey, Dee Dee, and Johnny Ramone and Joe Strummer (the clash) its good to see punk rock is still very much alive.GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe anybody would hate this DVD! The people that are saying that it's crap just don't know what a)punk rock is b) someone said this is pop... NO WAY! get a life! This is far from that crap! Green Day is awesome! They are way better than bands like Fall Out Boy (who sound like and look like girls). Plus the people that bought this don't even like Green Day probaly! So why did you buy it if you don't like 'em? But anyway this DVD AND CD rocks. But there is some stuff that you shouldn't let little kids watch like Billie Joe (the coolest male rocker EVER!) shows everyone his butt crack on "King For A Day" and I'm not going to even mention the other things he does. But If you LOVE Green Day you HAVE to get this CD! Oh yeah if you are a Green Day teenie, you will not let go of this. Literaly.Free Music Review: Best Live DVD I have ever seen

Hands down this is the best DVD of a live band performance I have ever seen. Not only does it capture the 2 days of action which took place during the Milton Keynes show in England back during the summer of 2005, it also captures what life on the road is like for the guys in Green Day; everything from how they view their fans, to how they prep for their performances. It also contains interviews with Green Day fans who were at the performance. The CD is also a really nice feature because it contains the audio from the concert and many songs that are not on the American Idiot album. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who is a fan of Green Day or just Rock and Roll in general. This is the greatest thing since sliced bread. For a real critique of the DVD editing etc... you are referred to previous reviewers. I don't really know alot about that. I do know that I have borrowed this DVD from Netflix twice and we have watched it over and over and over. Hence, I am here at Amazon to buy it. It's great, and I truly enjoy the insights into the lives of the band members. I kind of like how the interviews are interspersed throughout the concert footage, otherwise I would probably just watch the music over and over. You can go directly to "chapters" and watch the songs you like. The sound is good, and if you are a political progressive in a conservative state, the political statements can be affirmitive (that's a good thing). If you like Green Day, you will not regret having this DVD.
