Free Music Review: Great concert, good CD/DVD combo

This CD/DVD combo is a great time capsule of one of the best concerts of 2005. The intermingling of interview segments on the DVD is nice, but I wish they would have been made their own chapters for easier skipping around.
Sam Bayer, who directed all the American Idiot videos, is back to helm this undertaking; and the visual style remains consistent with the recent videos.
The DVD sound is great in the Dolby Digital mix. The picture is good quality from the different mix of film and video.
Having seen the show live myself, its a nice keepsake to look back on. American Idiot is one of, if not the best album of the past ten years, and the live performances rock just as well as the studio CD.

omg i friggin love bullet in a bible! if u turn up the speakers all the way its really loud. i like loud. if you love green day then you need to buy this it rox mi sox. it rox mi moms sox. it rox courtney cox. it rox.i could listen to it all day. and i would but my mom says is i watch it too long my eyes will burn out and i'll be blind like my goldfish. one day i was havin a race with my goldfish stedman in my pool and it went too fast and hit its head on the side of the pool and stedmans eyes came out. poor, poor steadman. he never had a chance. now he just swims around in his bowl hitting his face on all of his fish toys. one time he took a dookie and my sister thought he was having a baby. me and my sister are crack heads.Free Music Review: Bullet In A Bible

First of all I'd like to say that I love Green Day's music. And I love Green Day. Some people just like Green Day because of Billie Joe, but people need to realise the meaning of some of their songs. Yeah he's cute and all but he also writes great songs. Bullet In A Bible is a great gift for any Green Day fan. It has alot fo their latest and greatest hits. I recomend fans to get this DVD and if they don't have the CD "American Idiot" to purchace that too. And to those who arn't Green Day fans just listen to the meanings to some of their songs. Their older songs arn't all about polotics. Might I recomend everyone to listen to the sample of Christie Road on the Kerplunk CD by Green Day. I love lots of different rock music, but I had never been sold on Green Day. Something about their music, and especially the production of their sound on their studio albums, did not appeal to me. This DVD/Cd combo changed my mind and got me listening to some songs over and over again. It has a frenetic energy that I didn't find in their studio work. I don't much like the unnecessary cussing, but I can overlook it when the songs are this good. I find it amusing to see a punk band use so many pretty vocal harmonies. Songs I couldn't bear to listen to on the albums suddenly were quite good here in concert, such as 'Basket Case' and 'Brain Stew'. Most of the stuff from 'American Idiot' is great here also.Free Music Review: I've seen them in the early days and this is just as good

It's funny to read the reviews from people declaring this band a "sell-out" and how they don't play shows like they used to. I've seen them play in a pizza parlor before they even released a record and I've seen this arena show. They were awesome back then, but I was really surprised how well this show was in such a large venue. It is difficult to play an arena show with the same intimacy as a small club. It is just a different type of show. It's not better nor is it worse. I thought this was a great show and I like the fact that Billie Joe can perform a little without the guitar. This adds a little intimacy in the arena type of venue. All in all a great show.
