Free Music Review: Green Day is my favorite band!
Hit: 5 Stars

Caroline Sinclair has a stick up her "you know where!" She does not know what she is talking about! She probably listens to some oldies junk. OK, but anyway, this is a great CD for any Green Day fan that doesn't want to get their whole collection of Green Day CD's out and listen to them, like myself, who has all their albums, even some imports. I started listening to Green Day a while back, when I bought Kerplunk! Back to the CD. This collection of Green Day songs has all their hits, well, almost all of them. Too bad that there aren't any songs from Kerplunk! or 1039/smooth, but those CD's were recorded while they were on Lookout records, and Green Day is now on Reprise. The CD has all the hits from Dookie, like "Basket Case", "Longview", and "When I come around." The CD also has hits from Green Day's lesser known CD, Insomniac (my personal fav) like "Brain Stew" and "Geek stink breath." The songs from Nimrod are great, like "Hitchin a ride", and the radio friendly "Good riddance(time of your life)" It also has two new b-sides called "Maria" and "Poprocks and coke. The song "J.A.R.", from the Angus soundtrack is also on the CD. It is a great song and it was written by bassist Mike Dirnt. Only four songs from their latest album, Warning, are present on this CD. The best Warning song is "Waiting" and "Minority." The acoustic songs "Warning" and "Macy's day parade" are also on there. This is a CD you can listen to straight through. Every time you listen, you will appreciate and realize how good Green Day is at what they do. You will eventually memorize all the lyrics, like I did, after numerous listenings. I just saw Green Day at the Pop Disaster tour, and it made me like Green Day even more! Don't think, and buy International Superhits!, and enjoy!

Free Music Review: It's all here. Never gets old. Its a must-have for anyone. GD fan or not.
Hit: 5 Stars

These songs never get old. You've got all of their hits from the raw bass intro of "Longview," the sarcastic "Welcome to Paradise," the ever popular "Basket Case" and "When I Come Around," the soundtrack fav. "JAR" the slow hard sound of "Brain Stew" the 90 second punk madness of "Jaded" the catchy "Stuck With Me" and "Walking Contradicton" and "Hithcin A Ride" The super-ballad "Good Riddance (time of your life)" which showed the soft side of Green Day as well as in "Redundant" "Waiting" and the sad ballad "Macy's Day Parade." But thats not all. you also have "She" "Nice Guys Finish Last" "Warning" and one of my favorites: "Minority." And any good band would throw in a couple newbies like the punky American Idiot-like "Maria" to the new age pop-punk sound of "Poprocks & Coke". Its all here Ladies And Gentlemen. Lets face it "American Idiot" was an awesome comeback. "Bullet In A Bible" was a great live set, the first two albums "Smooth" and "kerplunk!" were cool, and so was the B-Sides of "Shenanigans" and if the master tapes of "Cigarettes and Valentines" hadnt been stolen then I bet that cd would have been great too. But nobody can put a price on "Dookie" "Insomniac" "Nimrod" "Warning" and the best songs on those four albums coming to life once againg on this hits collection. Get this with "American Idiot" or "Bullet In A Bible" or "Nimrod" or maybe even "Shenanigans" or my favorite of them: "Dookie". Get those if you want to hear true Green Day. I have never been disapointed by this group and if you buy this then you wont either! If all you have heard is "idiot" then you havent heard anything yet! The old stuff is much more "punk" and in my own opinion better. AI is great but this is the greatest. 21 tracks. Pure punk madness that you wont loose any sleep on like they did when they recorded "Brain Stew"...buy it today!

Free Music Review: Green Day - Very Good Compilation
Hit: 5 Stars

I have never been into Punk Rock, but I do like Green Day. Of course there are people out there that do not consider Green Day to be true punk, so opinions as to where they fit in the rock n roll spectrum will vary. However you categorize them there is something about these guys that has always appealed to me. Like The Offspring they are a band that is very different from what I usually listen to, but whenever I hear their stuff on the radio I can't get it out of my head. In the case of Green Day I think they just write damn catchy songs. When this album came out I decided to pick it up and was glad I did. The majority of this album contains 3 minute gems of well written proto punk with plenty of attitude and verve. Their music is relatively simple, but like the best rock bands the band get the maximum out of the musical chops that they do posses. Another thing I notice over the course of this compilation is how the band matures. The early songs are pretty much straight 3 chord punk, but the latter stuff contains significant variety and even innovation. This would be carried on to a great extent on their next studio release, the outstanding American Idiot which would come out 3 years later. International Superhits skips over the band's first two albums concentrating on the ones that came later. All the huge hits are here along with some choice album cuts. Two new songs are also included, Maria and Poprocks And Coke, both of which are great little tunes. If you already have their studio albums this compilation only adds the two new songs, so it may be for you. If you don't own the studio discs this is a pretty good overview of the band's career up to this point.

Free Music Review: This is some of the catchiest music I have ever heard
Hit: 5 Stars

For awhile I wasn't a huge fan of Green Day's music but after seeing the episode of Behind the Music on the band one hundred times, their music started growing on me, particularly "Longview" and "When I Come Around" (two songs I used to not like). So using a couple of gift certificates I earned from work, I bought a couple of cds and "International Superhits" was one of the cds I bought. I haven't been able to stop listening to it since I got it. Green Day has totally gotten too much flak for signing with a major record deal. Their music has not change based on the collection of songs from their past to the present that I heard on this cd. Fast, melodic pop punk is what this band is so good at. Maybe the band's music has a tendency to sound almost alike from time to time but this is what they do best. It is fun music. "Maria", "Macy's Day Parade", "Minority" and "Poprocks & Coke" are my personal favorite tracks off this cd but it wasn't very easy picking favorite songs off this excellent collection. I even shocked myself by enjoying "Brain Stew", a song that I used to not like when it first came out. I was a bit surprised that the band would release a greatest hits collection this soon 'cause I think Green Day is still a young band that could have easily waited to release a greatest hits compilation a couple of albums after "Warning". Nevertheless "International Superhits" has changed my mind about Green Day. They aren't as bad as some folks might say they are. Their music wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Free Music Review: Best Album Ever!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

As a 13 year old boy Green Day is legendary. Singing about topics I can relate to and creating a great melody in every single song.

1.Maria-A good way to start off the album
2.Poprocks and Coke-Wonderful, I get this great feeling with it
3.Longview-About boardom, gets me excited
4.Welcoime to Paradise-A good follow-up to "Longview"
5.Basket Case-ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG, the lyrics are funny
6.When I Come Around-A very bold, solid song, great
7.She-I can relate, Love it

8.J.A.R.-Good, good
9.Geek Stink Breath-A little bit harder
10.Brain Stew-Awesome, hard, gross
11.Jaded-Fast paced, fun
12.Walking Contradiction-alot of fun still, keeping up with Jaded
13.Stuck With Me-"I know I'm not ALRIIIIIIIIIGGGGHHT"
14.Hitchin A Ride-Mysterious, slick, dangerous
15.Good Riddance-Brings the album to a silence so to speak, warm
16.Redundant- I'm I the only one that notices "Nimrod" is slow?
17.Nice Guys Finish last-Well, except from this song.

18.Minority- The ultimate anthem to being different, a toast
19.Warning-A happy song
20.Waiting-Sounds alot like "Downtown", Wonderful
21.Macy's Day Parade- A great way to slow down the album and bring it to an end.

This is the ultimate collection by the best band ever. It makes me mad that they're so overlooked and unpopular considering how ingenious they are. (...)

This is by far, the most played album and the best album that I own. All of you who don't own it don't know what you're missing.

BUY THIS ALBUM, IT'LL NEVER COME OUT OF YOUR CD PLAYER.
