Free Music Review: A CD that proves Punk has not died
Hit: 5 Stars

Powered by catchy guitar rifts in the same vein as bands like The Ramones and The Clash and lyrics a generation would adore Green Day charged into the mainstream with Dookie.10 millon copies later Green Day was here to stay.

So far it's been a decade since Green Day released the famous Dookie and now millons of bands have come into the mainstream and underground inspired by Green Day.So that may make you start thinking,"Why buy this CD when I could get some new artist's CD?"

Heres your answer:Green Day has stood the test of time and so has their older hits.Powered by their latest album,American Idiot,Green Day once again has charged back into the mainstream and International Superhits is an awesome chance to view the evolution of Green Day,from the bass rift of Longview to the acoustic guitar of Good Riddance(Time of Your Life)Green Day certainly has proved themselves.

What can I say except buy this CD.You wont regret it.This is money well worth spent especially for the new Green Day fan eager for more after listening to American Idiot over a 1 millon times.Enjoy.

Free Music Review: International A Must Have
Hit: 5 Stars

I admit I wasnt a hard core Green Day fan when they first came out, although I enjoyed most of their hits on the radio and MTV. International Super Hits! is a great way to rediscover them. "When I Come Around" is one of the most irresistible pop/punk songs of the 90s. Who couldnt love the others like "Basket Case" and "Brain Stew"? I didnt like "Good Riddance" at first, but its grown on me now that ive let the lyrics sink in. The most recent songs are also vital. Green Day definitely hasnt lost their edge on such songs as "Warning" and "Waiting". "Minority" is still not a fav of mine, but its alright. The two new songs; "Maria" and "Poprocks and Coke", are okay, but I dont listen to them as much as the others. Theres plenty on here to remind us that Green Day is still one of the good bands left from the last decade, and they just keep right on changing with the times, without altering their sound too much. Unlike the greatest hits albums of this year, Green Day's leaves nothing out. Thats what I call Super Hits!!

Free Music Review: Green Day haters can F**K off.
Hit: 5 Stars

To start off, this is one of Green Days best CD's. No, this is THE best CD. Green Day just has that sound that makes you want more. Now, I have been reading reviews for Green Day, Blink 182 and so on (pop-punk). And I just have to say to all the people b****ing about these bands being "un-punk" can f**k off. In the end, who gives a d**n. I used to worry about what people thought about my music, you know, being "un-punk." Then I realized, who gives a s**t. If you like the music, listen to it (punk, poser punk, rock, whatever), dont worry about what some guy who pops one when he hears The Misfits (not saying there bad, just need an example) thinks. Or someone who says your an MTV supporting corporate poser thinks, they prolly j**k off to the "smooth" sounds of Slayer. To conclude, if you have a problem with what Im saying, eat me. I just dont care anymore, and for all you people who do, just dont, thats really all I can say.

p.s. I am not a goth, I know what im saying sounds goth, the whole I dont give a f**k thing, but I assure you, Im not goth, and I really cant stand goths.

Free Music Review: Other 90s Bands Green With Envy
Hit: 5 Stars

Best of collections usually portray the marketing department's image of bands with any substantial longevity. The problem with that is the top pop hits don't generally reflect the overall character and personality of such artists. A refreshing exception is "International Superhits" by Green Day on Reprise Records.

The full slate of 21 songs strongly represents the works of one of the best bands of the 90s decade, and throws in a couple new tunes for good measure. The booklet design is a crack-up spoof of TV-infomercial-like record compilation products put together in the 70s, complete with semi-psychedelic art and photos that show these guys still have a sense of humor and would be great to party with.

Music and performing are hard work, but it's also supposed to be a lot of fun. Green Day has demonstrated from Day One that they have a blast making music and their fans should have fun listening too. International Superhits is a great way for fans, both long-time and new, to do just that. As a fan from the beginning, this CD is a welcome addition to my collection. Highly recommended.
