This Green Day greatest-hits CD contains various hits & singles from their 1994 to 2000 releases, totaling up to 21 tracks, 1 hour and 43 seconds. There are two songs, however, that are entirely brand new -- "Maria" and "Poprocks & Coke" -- recorded just a couple of months before they released this album. But fear not, these new additions are good and do belong on this compilation.
The mood on this CD varies from song to song. Though some songs tend to sound similar rhythmically and/or musically, the differences are noticeable. In fact, that's why Green Day is so relevant to this day. Their sound is consistent, yet somehow managing to remain fresh.
Whether you're a long-time fan or a new-comer to Green Day, you'll enjoy and cherish this CD. It is simply their best work up to their 2000 Warning album. 21 awesome songs for one sweet price -- how cool is that?! Buy this great, high-quality CD, and you'll see why Green Day is so popular.

it isn't "cool" to like green day at my high school. a music critic at school recently trashed their American Idiot cd in the school newspaper, and many of my friends have jumped on the "green day sucks" bandwagon. But listening to this collection reminds me of happier days of 8th grade, when people would listen and dig the music even if it wasn't The Clash. I believe that people who hate on Green Day should stop comparing them to older punk music. punk music is stupid, overrated, and made by unimportant so-called "rebellious" whiners. Green Day is great music made by funny guys, and it is meant to be enjoyed by everyone. This cd captures EVERY SINGLE ESSENTIAL SONG made by the band. if you are at all interested in Green Day, get this cd immediately. Also check out their newer effort, American Idiot, which is one of their best albums in years, and represents a remarkeable change for them. This album has some of the greatest songs of all time with other huge hits and awesome songs. If you don't have a lot of Green Day albums or don't have any at all, this is great. This is a great hour of music with no bad songs at all. Every song is fantastic. It's so hard to get sick of because it has so many hits and great songs that don't sound the same. If your on the road or away from home, this CD should probably be your #1 pick to take with you. This is the greatest hits album to ever come out in history from one of the greatest bands ever. The only one greatest hits album that could be better is if the Foo Fighters released one. The only way I think this album could be better is if it was a little longer like 80 min instead of 60 and if it had the songs "Castaway" from Warning and "Emenius Sleepus" from Dookie. If this Greatest Hits CD was an actual album, it would probably be the greatest album of all time.Free Music Review: Get this album if your a punk fan

I gave this album five stars just for the track listing. This album has all of Green Day's hit songs on it minus their new hits off American Idiot. Anyways I usually listen to this album to cheer myself up. Its a nice change from downer grunge. Don't get me wrong i still like Grunge.Once you pop this into your stereo you'll be amazed by how loud every song is. I have had many ppl come up to me and talk to me about music and some of them say oh green day sucks they just whine and screw around on guitar. Green Day's music isn't suppose to be taken seriously. Green day was around in the 90's that was in my opinion the best years for music i there were alot of good sucessful bands out there. You look at the music industry today and things are getting stale again. The nu-metal scene is getting worse every year. The punk bands these days just plain suck they are more pop punk than pure punk. If you don't own this album get it asap!Free Music Review: THIS SHOULD GET 5,000,000 STARS OUT OF TEN!!!!!

When I first got this cd, i was like holy sh*t, its got 21 songs!!!!! But then, i put it in it totally First off, there are 2 bonus tracks, MARIA, and POPROCKS AND COKE. MARIA is really fast and really good, but POPROCKS AND COKE is just average, but still okay. In my opinion, GREEN DAY is the greatest band ever, and it should be in your opinion, too. This cd is 21 of their finest songs, including JAR, a song from the movie ANGUS. the cd is over an hour long, so you get your money's worth. The only thing is, parents beware!!! ther is a LOT of swearing on this cd, especially a certain word that begins with F...... you know where im going with this. But still, its a great cd, and if your kid is 12+, they can handle it. I mean, ive been saying these words since kindergarden. anyway, get this cd, get american idiot, too, and get bullet in a bible.
