Free Music Notes for WarningFree Music Review: Green Day's best Hit: 5 Stars
Well first off I have to say i am a hardcore green day fan and love everything the do. And im not a person to compare what there doing now to what they did in the past and I think dookie is Green Day's worst album. Heres a rundown of my opinions on each song. Warning- okay song, its a little to repetetive but really catchy 7/10 Blood,Sex and, Booze- Awesome song, great lyrics 3rd best on album sounds a little too much like Hitching a ride though 9.5/10 Church On Sunday - this is by far green day's best track ever, really meaningful lyrics. 10/10 Fashion Victim- this songs good if you dont compare it to the rest of the album 8/10 Castaway- sounds like a song off of insomniac with a feeling of not fitting in 9/10 Misery- i like the intro to it and the lyrcis are amaing but the song is over 5 minutes 8/10 Deadbeat Holiday - this song is amazing, i love the apathy in the song "Celebrate your own decay" 10/10 Hold On - the lyrcis are truly amazing but i just dont seem to enjoy this song a whole lot 6.5/10 Jackass- great chorus but thats about it 7/10 Waiting- an incredible song about waiting for the right moment to come and it sounds awesome acoustic 10/10 Minority - you've all heard it 10/10 Macy's Day parade - this has the best lyrics on the album but the its the same beat throughout the whole song but i think its better than good riddance
Free Music Review: My Favorite Green Day Album! Hit: 5 Stars
This is, by far, my favorite album of Green Day. My favorite song of theirs, Fashion Victim, is included on this album. Something about Green Day's upbeat and "catchy," lyrics really draws me in and away from all the other punks bands that our out their, including Nirvana and The Sex Pistols, Green Day is a new sound of punk with its own twist.
That twist is pop, and Green Day is the best pop punk band out there. Forget Blink 182, New Found Glory and Rancid. They are spin-offs of when Green Day released Dookie, and they can't hold a candle to them.
But if you are getting into Green Day for the first time, don't buy this album, rather buy three of their earliest albums: 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, Kerpunk! and Dookie. And don't buy American Idiot just because it was the hit album of 2004 or Bullet In A Bible (released in 2005) just yet, start out with the best of Green Day/Sweet Children.
I love the tracks of this album, particularly Warning and Minority, and the slow and easy Macy's Day Parade. Hold On is awesome and Misery is that hardcore, darker "bad-boy," side of Green Day nicely portrayed.
Church on Sunday, Castaway, Jackass, and Deadbeat Holiday are fast and really upbeat.
Waiting and Blood, Sex and Booze are slow but are fast at times and are some of the best of this album.
Free Music Review: A new Greenday Hit: 5 Stars
Yes, it's a lot more mellow, and the style of the songs has changed, but i still love this CD. If you're one of those devoted to Dookie and Insomniac, this isn't for you, but if you liked Nimrod, you're probably going to like this. The songs are a lot different, take Misery for example. This song has a very naval theme to it, and uses the accordian, mandolin and farfisa (I don't know what a farfisa is or sounds like, but it's not doing the song any harm, so never mind)to create a slow song with dark humour about people's misfortunes. The only songs I could imagine coming from Dookie are Blood Sex and Booze and Church on Sunday, both of which are good songs, especially the former. Waiting is a great song despite the critics on here, one of the best on the CD. Of course, there's Minority, everyones fave, and first impressions make you think it's yours too, but if you listen to the album more, you'll probably find yourself gradually liking other songs more. Even the worst track on the album, Hold On, isn't a bad song by any means. Though the songwriting isn't as good as Nimrod's, it's deep and thoughtful, and Macy's Day Parade shows this. So there you go. If you didn't like Nimrod as much as the earlier, heavier stuff, avoid this one, cause it's even lighter, but otherwise, buy it. You won't regret it.

Free Music Review: very very good. Hit: 5 Stars
I really liked this album of Gren Day's. Some people say that it wasn't very good but I loved it. I liked it so much that I baught the guitar book for it and now I can play most of the songs on it. I don't think I have a favorite song because I like all of the songs really. Top three would be...
1.)Minority: a catchy song that basicly talks about rebeling against the authority. It has lyrics just a few seconds after it starts. It has an interesting begining with the, I wanna say elavater music, in the begining, then it goes to the actual song w/ guitars and bass and drums etc. and billy joe starts to sing right off. I like how they put the chorus in the very begining too.
2.)Misery: I liked this song. Some people said it sucked but I think it is different from all the other songs Green Day has made. It is basically talking about how all these people has crapy lives and some of them die and they are all connected to each other. But I like the whole greekish mannor about it. That is what it sounds like to me. I liked it enough to learn it anyway.
last but sertainly not least....
3.) Hold on: This is a really good song, to me, and I like the harmonica right off in the begining. The end is good too. not much to say but I just really liked it!
