Free Music Notes for Firefly (Original Television Soundtrack)Free Music Review: Mood Music to light up the night Hit: 5 Stars
It is a very good set of modern classical pieces of music. Being a very big fan of Firefly and Serenity the pieces brought back many of the episodes. It is also great background music if you are reading, studying, sewing, painting, having dinner, or whatever. It is a nice blend of many types of music as well with some Eastern influences as well as more traditional classical pieces as well as Celtic music and more. I would recommend this not just for fans of the TV show but for anyone who likes background music for doing Yoga or Meditation work too!
Free Music Review: This cd puts me in love with Firefly more than ever! Hit: 5 Stars
What a truly beautiful cd that mixed Asian musical influence with the West. Who would've thought that 2 completely different genres would mesh so well together? Edmonton is a genius! When I got this cd, I've yet to put it down! It has some of the most wonderful pieces I have ever heard (and I have many classical and new age cds in my collection!)- so much so that I would say this cd can rival any of the best world classicals out there!
Thank you Whedon for out-doing yourself once more and giving us this musical delight! Fly on, Firefly!

Honestly, whats not to like about Firefly? Its written by Joss Whedon, sure, but all the hype about Buffy etc is beside the point; this is an ensemble cast that REALLY liked to work together and it shows. It shows so much it makes you wanna crawl into the scene and be one of them.
Seriously, the only people I've ever met who've watched Firefly and claim to have NOT liked it have 1) had some axe to grind with Whedon or 2)seemed to think it made them look smarter to dismiss this work of genius. Their loss. Firefly rocks.
Free Music Review: At long last! Hit: 5 Stars
This has been a much awaited soundtrack. Loved the Title Theme and was disappointed that it wasn't used in the movie. The composer who did the movie soundtrack was good, and had some really good themes and carried on with the whole Serenity/Firefly 'verse "feel", but Greg Edmonson really "GOT" Firefly and did a really wonderful job. Especially the episode where Mal and Zoe buried their buddy, the music was "off the chain" as my boys would say. I was really disappointed that Greg Edmonson wasn't used on the movie.
Free Music Review: Ode to Greg Edmonson's Genius Hit: 5 Stars
Greg Edmonson has done a fantastic job capturing the essence of Firefly in this wonderful compilation of music.
Every song is unique and prompts floods of memories from the show.
Part of what made Firefly such a great show was the passion each member of the cast and crew added to the production. From the acting, to the costumes, to the music; each part brought the series to life.
One can certainly tell from this CD that Firefly was more than just a job for Greg Edmonson, it was a labor of love.
