Free Music Notes for IntrospectionFree Music Review: GREAT artistry! Hit: 5 Stars
Though some criticize Introspection for not being as "shredding" as some of his earlier works, this album is one of my favorites! To me, it seemed like Greg poured more of his heart into this one. The songs are just so creative and full of feeling. There are many good, guitar "technicians" out there who can rip through scales. What I personally enjoy is creative artistry, and that can only come from a person's heart. For me, this album delivers!
Free Music Review: None better. Hit: 5 Stars
It infuriates me to hear or read some nimrod's review that any particular guitarist is no good or that some other guitarist is better. Guitarists are artists. If you don't appreciate them, do something else. No one is better than Greg Howe. Likewise, no one is better than Vai, or Johnson, or Satch, or Aldo, or ... I love listening to Greg Howe (and the others too).
Free Music Review: Best Guitar Album of All-time. Hit: 5 Stars
I challenge anyone to find a better guitar album anywhere. Period. Too bad that guitar soloists go pretty much un-noticed these days. People are too busy listening to Eagle Eye Cherry and stuff like that. Buy this and listen to it, you will be blown away. I recommend this to any guitar player or music lover.
Free Music Review: Timeless musician! Hit: 5 Stars
I was gonna lose my mind while GH was playing...In order to digest his music better, I listened to his work by standing up on my hands, there has to be a new word in the dictionary to describe his talent, cos` the existing ones are too weak to do the work...
Free Music Review: Explosive finesse Hit: 4 Stars
Technically amazing guitarist of the shredding kind offered refreshing counterpoint to so many of the Metal-classicists. There are some generic rock, funk, and blues riffs on top of Howe's spectacular electric assaults, but he often undermines or basically obliterates them with the soloing. Howe also shows a sharp ear when he is trying to dazzle in the songwriting department, and even if his projects often walk the line between creative substance and virtuoso noodling it is still just a step between brilliance and genius.
