Free Music Review: Koch Kicks Some Bigtime Blues Rock !

Greg Koch is a fine guitarist many current players do not excite me but this guy does and I think it boils down to the old Vibrato and Tone Thing! I enjoy guitarists who have style and even though Greg is product of his influences he still manages to lay down his own style!
I love a player who is willing to take on Hendrix and this is because his playing requires a great knowledge of the instrument and very difficult chords and far reaching fingerings....I dig Gregs Spanish Castle Magic on this Lp and his version of Manic Depression.
Here is the deal Greg and Malford Milligan make a great team although it sounds like from Gregs web site that they are done playing together for reason's we will probably never know but Greg if your listening get a new vocalist asap because with Malford you had yourself a band! Without a good vocalist your cd's are more like guitar instruction lps than music and with a gift like Gregs and the ability to be great in the band setting please stay the course!
This Lp is fabulous and I will enjoy it for a very long time and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys heavy duty blues rock played right by a master.....
