Seems like forever since I first came accross "Masters of Chant" on eBay years ago. I searched Every site I could think of trying to find samples, as the concept intriqued me, all to no avail. I went to HMV and other music stores in person, they were not even in their database. So I bit the bullet and had it shipped in from Singapore. I was blown away. Who would've thunk? My mission had begun. Were there more? Yes, but they were on the other side of the world. These guys are much better and tighter than others who attempt similar projects. I've got other monks doing ABBA, Elton John & Elvis covers. Monks who don't even hold a candle to the "masters". The arrangements and vocals make this CD especially a classic, and the VCD although completely without say, movement is pretty with beautiful backgrounds. Don't just stop here though. There are at least 3 more CDs to be experienced complete with special guest vocalists such as Sarah Brightman and others.
