Simply put : AMAZING! Christine Ebersole is a masterclass performer and totally morphed into this role. After watching the show I rented and watched the Documentary on Grey Gardens. Having seen the musical I HAD TO HAVE the CD. I love the music and play it constantly. I also love the DVD which the musical was based on. I have watched and read everything I could get my hands on about the Beales.
And, as always, it's a pleasure doing business with Amazon.

Having seen the cult film many times, I thought the musical would just rehash old things. BOY was I wrong! Ms. Ebersole is Unbelievable as the mother and the daughter Little and Big Edie Beale. This is a great album of a great show. It is a little qerky, but that is the good thing about it. WIth so little coming out of Broadway lately, this is good. Make sure that you also see the documentary from the 70's. It makes this whole thing real.
