Free Music Notes for Greatest Hits

Free Music Review: Greastist hits?? COME ON!
Hit: 2 Stars

Ya sure they have some good tunes on here. But as far as making this the 1 Guns cd,with every killer tune they did. This falls short by mile!
There isnt one song from Lies,Lies,Lies on here. Just another way for Axel to squeeze another buck outta of the fans. Fan? Any die hard Guns fan should be disapointed.

Free Music Review: proves that they were one of the greatest bands of all time.
Hit: 4 Stars

this album really shows off one of the greatest hard rock bands of all time. it has all of their greatest songs, some that are very good, and some that aren't so great. overall, this album is a lot like Guns N' Roses' career: it starts off with a bang and fizzles out near the end.

Free Music Review: If you want GnR's Greatest Hits or Best of
Hit: 2 Stars

then just pick up Appetite For Destruction

AFD was one of the greatest rock albums ever made. I wanted to hate the album so much. I was an alternative/avant guard snob when AFD was released. To me, these clowns were just another hairspray band. But I took a long car trip with some chick I was banging and her roommate. The roommate played the tape at least three times on the trip. By the end, I was hooked. That's the mark of truly great art. If it can draw in someone who's predisposed to hate it, its got something special.

I looked forward to the next album, G N' R Lies. But when it came out, I was disappointed. It was ok, but hardly the cultural epoch that was AFD. Nice Boys was kind of fun. Used to Love Her was a humorous novelty song. Mama Kin was a decent cover, but no real improvement over the original. The rest of the disk was just crap. But what the hell, its was just an EP right? Something to tide us over until the next brutal masterpiece.

Then came GnR's death knell, the two Use Your Illusions. Over-produced, bloated, boring and pretentious. Everything I had always hated Hair-Metal for in the first place. Gone was the sound of the alley ways of Sunset Boulevard, replaced by the sound of computers, maids and Beverley Hills hookers n blow parties. Rock n Roll sung by a guy in custom-ripped jeans who just came out of a session with his hair stylist and manicurist.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

So, if you want to see the genius and promise of GnR, just pick up Appetite For Destruction, and pretend they just broke up after creating one of the greatest albums of all time.

Free Music Review: What we've got here is failure to communicate.....
Hit: 3 Stars

The above quote was in the song Civil War included in this album, taken from the movie Cool Hand Luke. It perfectly describes the album. This is Greatest Hits, not a Best Of. It was really a last ditch effort to get a GNR album out with the delays of Chinese Democracy. This is half a great album. Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child O Mine, Knockin On Heaven's Door, Civil War, You Could Be Mine, Since I Don't Have You, and Sympathy for the Devil are the only real great songs on this mediocre album. 5 of the songs are covers, 4 songs are ballads, and only 4 of the songs really show the GNR motto of Sex, Drugs, and Rock N Roll. Half GNR, half something else.

Free Music Review: BEST GREATEST HITS ALBUM.
Hit: 5 Stars

GET THIS GREAT GREATEST HITS ALBUM IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT. GNR ARE ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS. BEST SONGS INCLUDE NOVEMBER RAIN, CIVIL WAR, AND SWEET CHILD OF MINE. BUY RIGHT NOW BUT AVOID THE ROLLING STONES, THE BEATLES, AND AC/DC WHO SUCK.
