are no sex, drugs, violence, mean, & liqour like AFD. The only
bad songs are Aint it Fun and Sympathy For The Devil. Buy the
CD even if you like GNR.

Free Music Review: Great collection of one of the best rock bands ever

First off, cover songs are good. There isn't a better way to pay tribute to the artists who inspired you. Not enough artists do covers nowadays.Sure, there were a lot of good songs left off this compilation, but the ones they put on are all great anyway. In my opinion, however, Appetite for Destruction was a greatest hits album itself, as every song was great.
There's too many people complaining about the amount of covers. If you do a cover and you put out a fresh new spin on a song, then good job!
The only thing that is needed now is a true GnR tribute album. Bring You To Your Knees is a joke. Where are the GOOD artists? We already know AFI can kick ass on My Michelle, so who else? (AFI covered My Michelle on Fearless Records' Punk Goes Metal)
I'm now just waiting for the release of Chinese Democracy and Contraband (Velvet Revolver). While CD isn't likely, Contraband will be out in June and looks like it will be great.
People, this CD is great, but don't stop OR start here. Appetite for Destruction is where you should truly start your collection.

So what if Axl Rose is doing his thing, taking him years to do it, but no matter what, People are still curious to see what he'll do next! People still want to see Axl Rose, he's a living Icon, his voice is untouched, of course he could use some work, since he's been out of the spotlight for a while. He needs to lay off the bottox, and either kiss n' make up with Izzy and the rest, or finally release Chinese Democracy, I'm glad this CD has been released, kind of a reminder, G N'R is still around, just not the same. Although I also agree, there are a lot of good songs missing from this CD. I think true fans of G N'R should consider buying it, not the people who like compilation CD's and buy greatest hits of everyone they listen to cause they just don't care about music or are too lazy to get into a band and hear all their songs, they'll just buy this CD and think thats all G N'R had, well their dead wrong. G N'R had the world in the palm of their hands, course major EGO's got in the way, blame it all on Mr.Bailey. Buy this CD TRUE GNR FANS!Free Music Review: Every single HIT is here!

Hey I don't know why some people are complaining over this album. This album is by no means a "Best Of" album. This is a Greatest Hits album which means the tracks included are their best selling singles. This is what casual people demand,not hardcore fans. For the casual listener this is the PERFECT album to get. It has all the radio popular songs GN'R has ever produced. Obviously this compilation is great because as some of you may not know this has beenone of the world's best selling new releases. In the US this CD is beating out acts like N.E.R.D and Evanescence. In the UK it's #2 and in the US it was written that it would be #4. Here is a list of how well the album is doing around the world:Ireland: # 1 (for the second straight week now!!!)

Free Music Review: Great Collection For Casual Fans

I've seen a lot of carping from many reviewers over the song selection for "Guns N' Roses - Greatest Hits". In some aspects, I agree with them. While this collection is basically made to include mostly all the hit singles and radio only hits, it surely couldn't have hurt to dig a little deeper into the GNR catlogue and include a few lesser known gems.
Still, for someone like me who only wnats one Guns N' Roses album in their collection, this cd is ideal. This has all the songs that I'm familliar with, including "Welcome To The Jungle", "Sweet Child O' Mine", Paradise City", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and "November Rain". There were also some songs I'd never heard before, such as "Civil War" and "Don't Cry Original", plus a few covers to throw a little diversity into the mix.
The remastering job is excellent. The songs sound great. There are no liner notes, unfortunately. Still, this is a great cd to have in your collection.
