I've been a Guy Clark listener forever, it seems.
I never get tired of hearing his voice, with the many twists & inflections he is capable of, plus the songs that he writes sound better (IMHO) when he sings 'em. The words & meaning seem to come across clearer somehow. Not to take anything away from others who sing 'em, please understand.
I like EVERY single song on this double CD, it stays in my bedroom player for late night listening. From beginning to end this is a CD worth owning; it would be a real good introduction for those unfortunate few who have yet to become acquainted with this wonderful singer/song writer!
"The Houston Kid" alone is worth the price; I ain't never "washed my jeans inna tub fulla whiskey" .... but I guess I always wanted to!!!
