Free Music Review: A New Band Kicking it Old School
Hit: 5 Stars

The Gym Class Heroes bring back old school style hip hop with a new school attitude. They mix live and real instruments with smooth, funny, and often relatable lyrics. Their first album had a bitter sweet message which all the bands true fans loved them for, but the new album blends fresh positive lyrics and beats with the same smooth rhyme spittin from Travis guaranteed to make all parties happy. New fans buy this and the Papercut Chronicals ...and you original fans buy this one. These guys are about to blow up so be ready you heard it first from me.

Free Music Review: Refreshing Album From Gym Class Heroes
Hit: 5 Stars

Don't sleep on the latest release by Gym School Heroe's titled As Cruel As School Children. The group has a real fresh sound. The first single from the release "New Friend Request" is something that everyone who is a part of the whole Myspace phenomenon will be able to relate to. "Clothes Off" is an uptempo song that puts a whole new spin on the classic Jermaine Stewart song "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off."

When listening to As Cruel As School Children I had that same feeling I got when I listened to the Souls of Mischief album 93' To Infinity for the first time. From start to finish it's a solid album and it's the kind of album you can imagine listening to at a summer barbecue or at a day at the beach. Stand out tracks on the album include the first single "Friend Request," "Shoot Down The Stars," and "7 Weeks."

Travie, Matt, Dishani, and Eric have released a real fresh album for the summer. A little Jamiroquai, a little Souls of Mischief and N.E.R.D., a little Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gym Class Heroes have ushered in a brand new style of hip-hop rock pop funk.

Free Music Review: Gym Class Heroes Gets A 100%
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a fan of GCH for about 2 or 3 years or so now, and they honestly have yet to disappoint me. I was first hooked off "Papercuts" and "Taxi Driver" from the Papercut EP, then the entire Papercut Chronicles, and now, As Cruel As School Children hits back with awesome music, great writing, and the same type of sound that initially drew me into the band. Matt, Eric, and Disashi provide the music behind the verses that sounds so smooth, that at points, you may believe it's a sample, when it's all live. As always, Travis brings his flow to each track, his way with words always drawing you back in to check out the next track. This time around, they bring in some help from labelmates The Academy Is ... on "7 Weeks", and altogether with the added skill from Disashi, Matt, and Eric this time, they've put together yet another amazing and solid CD. Each track has its' own style and flow that keeps you listening. Definitely pick this CD up and give it a try, even if you're not sure. Their brand of hip-hop is definitely something different and refreshing.

Free Music Review: Gym Class Heroes...listen to the future of hip-hop
Hit: 5 Stars

A truly amazing CD, when I first discovered this band after hearing just one track, I rushed out to buy the album the very same day. They really are that good, and they have their own unique style, I can't think of any other bands that are remotely like them. The style of some songs may sound similar to other bands, but the voice of Travis McCoy (Schleprok) really sets this band apart from the rest. Their melodic tones and true and honest words puts the Gym Class Heroes into an individual genre all their own. I have been streaming some of thier new tunes online for a while and pre-ordered the album. I would have to give this album 10 out of 10, you really should give them a listen and find out. While your at it, have a listen to The Papercut Chronicles as well. It is the first album that was released by Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance. You will NOT be disappointed AT ALL !!!!!
