What sound! What pizzazz! What a score! What lyrics! When the original LP came out I wore it out with repeated replayings. Now with a reissued CD (augmented with previously eliminated moments--and bonus tracks) the memory of a truly "Broadway" sound re-emerges. Can there be a better Overture? Can there be a more powerful "11:00 number"? The liner notes carry valuable information about restored moments (sometimes only measures) and add immeasurably to the enjoyment of this old friend found again.
