Free Music Notes for Hair (Deluxe Edition) (1968 Original Broadway Cast and 1967 Off-Broadway Cast)Free Music Review: Wonderful! A must have... Hit: 5 Stars
... if you're a 'child of the sixties', or even if you're not and appreciate well written, well produced musicals! We (wife and I) love the off-broadway version, too. Interestingly, I noticed a friend was a guitarist in the Broadway band! (Steve Gillette - check his albums out, too - singer/songwriter) what a treat! Highly recommend. Listen to either disk from beginning to end for best enjoyment.
Free Music Review: deluxe edition may not be that great Hit: 5 Stars
as much as i love the songs from the album and movie, the interview was short and dissapointing and the extra songs were not that enjoyable for me. that said, it kept me awake on a long rode trip, and the original songs are just as wonderful as i had hoped.
Free Music Review: Somewhat dated but still great music Hit: 5 Stars
I used to listen to the album when I was a teenager, it was great listening to the songs again and singing at the top of my lungs. I was surprised at the new songs that hadn't been on the album. I had also forgotten how many times the "N" word was used.
Free Music Review: HAIR Broadway Soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
The CD arrived in a timely manner and was exactly what I ordered. I was very satisfied with the transaction and the item.
Free Music Review: "Hair" today...but still here tomorrow Hit: 4 Stars
On the outside, "Hair" may seem dated, but the issues it tackles are still relevant today.
This cast recording includes many bonus tracks, and even interesting interviews with Galt MacDermot (composer and music director). The recording itself, even though old, captures all the energy of the stage production.
For any "Hair" fan, this is a gem to own.
