Free Music Review: . . . and then I couldn't turn it off . . .

Truly, I think this CD should have an "addictive" warning label on it. It's beginning to interfere with my studies. Almost entirely clean, I would caution parents that a few songs contain some pretty explicit sexual references. While I would have loved the music at age nine, I'm pretty confident my parents would not have wanted me going around quoting some of these lyrics. Try age 13 and above . . . but other than that, this truly is just all around good fun. I'm a huge Brittany Snow fan, and her song "New Girl in Town" makes me happy every time I hear it . . . Nikki Blonsky is stellar in her role as the overweight dancing queen, and Zac Efron . . . well, I never thought I'd admit it, but he can SING! Of course, Elijah Kelly and Amanda Bynes do more than justice to their roles, and Michelle Pfeiffer is . . . well, pretty intense . . . and John Travolta as a woman? I'm not even gonna go there. I bought this soundtrack because I loved the movie. After listening to the soundtrack, I love it just as much as the movie.
I can't wait for the movie to come out on DVD so I can order it and have both.
I highly recommend this CD.

i bought this cd knowing i would love it in the first place. but it definitely exceeded my own expectations. the songs are so inspiring and lively that i can't help but dance in my car! the only thing that i questioned was the cooties song towards the end bc i never remembeed hearing it when watching the movie. and it sounded too modern for the time setting of the plot. but either way, it was a fun song and i have nothing to complain over. i can't wait to buy the dvd! what a fun movie and soundtrack!Free Music Review: Love It!!!
