I never used to be a fan of musicals until I watched Moulin Rouge a few years back. Ever since then, I have devoured every musical that has come to theatre. I went and saw Hairspray! I absolutely loved it! John Travolta was amazing and he deserves to win an oscar. The man is a genius. He played the part of Edna perfectly! I recommend the soundtrack to everyone. I can't stop listening to it and dancing to it! It's a feel good soundtrack! :).Free Music Review: You wont want to listen to anything else!

I love this CD! I cant stop listening to it. My favorite is "You can't stop the beat." What a great song! Nikki Blonsky is a great Tracy, perky with the pipes to match. Zac Efron is really good! His "Ladies Choice" rocks, its my second favorite. John Travolta is OK vocally, but he is really sweet in the movie. His duet with Christopher Walken is cute. I was really surprised by James Marsden. What a cutie! What a great voice! I had no idea!Free Music Review: I LOVE this soundtrack!

After I saw the recent Hairspray movie, I knew I wanted the soundtrack. And I listen to it all the time now, in the car and at home. The music is either fun, toe-tapping, or inspirational, depending on the song. The voices are great- and who knew that Michelle Pfeifer had such a great voice? And I love Queen Latifah. Actually, I love it all! When I want energy or happy company, it's the first cd I turn to. It's uplifting and fun!Free Music Review: Hairspray 5 Stars
This soundtrack is totally awesome. I love the new songs that were included just for this soundtrack. There is an amazing group of people that joined the cast and they worked hard on it. It really pays off. I really like that they included some of the oringal sounds from the broadway version into this. I give 5 plus stars. People should go out and buy this wonderful music. The movie is amazing and it is so great the way the CD has captured the feeling. My daughter is 13 and I am 41 and together we have listened to this CD pretty much every time we are in the car or just hanging around the house. All the songs have a great beat and very uplifting! LIke I said if you love musicals you will not go wrong in purchasing this soundtrack!
