Daryl and John pay homage to the songs that inspired them. This production done by themselves and released on their own non-corporate record label is again overlooked like Do It for Love was. Hall's voice is like fine wine and John's vocals are possibly his best. These tracks were not over the top reproductions, but redone in a fashion to keep their integrity. Bought this cd because Walgreens had all their cd at 90 percent off. Thank God they did because if not I would have missed out on one of the greatest remake albums I have heard. These guys have never sounded so good. They move effortlessly through covers and originals that rival the original. Halls vocals are better than ever. The songs themselves have been updated in a very satisfying way. If Hall and Oates were an r and b marriage made in heaven, so are these songs with these two talented performers.Free Music Review: Ooh Child

What brought me to this CD, was initially the evergreen favourite "Ooh Child". I had this sudden craving to possess a copy of the song. Did my research and listened to many MANY renditions of the song and fell in love with the one performed by H&O. The other songs are a bonus to me because they're great too. The album is nostalgic for me as it takes me back in time with the whole mood of the CD without the feeling of being dated at all! So many times when someone does a remake of a favorite hit, they put so many dramatic changes into it that you hardly recognize the tune. These guys perform some of your favorite soul tunes in a way that you can still sing along with them, adding only their talented and unique Hall & Oates style. These guys are great musicians with great voices that purely add more "soul" to the soul. An outstanding performance that you just can't help playing over and over!
