Wow! Hall & Oates "Our Kind of Soul" is amazing! Only H&O could seem to have improved the classics we have grown up with - their way! Warning: You may find yourself unable to get anything done in the office as a result of listening to the CD instead of working! Daryll smokes 'em off thoughout the CD though John Oates lets 'er rip with "What you see is what you get" - it's fun hearing his distinctive voice at the lead!Free Music Review: Great

I have been a fan of H&O since the 70's, but didn't like much in the 80's - this is a return to what they really do the best. Their voices blend together really well. Hall has a great voice, but he is really better when he is with Oates. I only wish Oates sang more lead cause I find his voice much more interesting. I am playing this CD over and over again like I did with Abandoned Luncheonette! Buy it!Free Music Review: Only real soul goes down this smooth...

Lovely revistitation of standards and the songs where the two master voices mesh best (like "Ooh Child") have always been favorites of mine but I have to admit,
it's the new songs that send me on this disk.
Do I hear "soul violins"?

I love this Hall & Oates CD! I listen to it over & over again. Their renditions of the older Soul songs are excellent; I even like the subtle changes in lyrics that Daryl did. And Daryl's new songs are also very beautiful, especially "Don't Turn Your Back On Me". The only song I don't like is "Neither One of Us" because it is a song about goodbyes.Free Music Review: The best of Hall & Oates

This is a great CD, I have always loved Hall & Oates music. The day it came in the mail, I listened to it in the car, it was great. Hall & Oates are a rare duo, there will never be any duo that can come close to their kind of music. The only other music that can come close to them is maybe the Bee Gee's or the Beatles.
