I've only been listening and going to bluegrass festivals for about 2 years now. I still consider myself new to it. This is a great album to have for anyone interested in bluegrass, especially to those who are newish, as I am. It's a great introduction, and it sounds how bluegrass should sound, in my opinion. I've gotten some bluegrass before that sounds as though it's nothing more than a rock band that happened along a mandolin and a banjo. I ordered this cd for my boyfriend who is a bluegrass musician and appreciates true bluegrass. We recently listened to the cd's and really enjoyed them. Most were familiar tunes but there were a few that we were not that familiar with. We enjoyed disc 2 the most. The main reason I ordered it was to buy the song "The Old Swingng Bridge" performed by my late cousin Teddy Lundy. I would recommend this project to anyone who is a bluegrass lover as we are. Love this CD set. If you like traditional ole' time bluegrass music, you'll like this. It's like going back in time listening to the older musicians and singers.
