El Mesias de Haendel es una obra que sobrepasa con mucho las expectativas musicales de su tiempo. De hecho el mundo, en ese entonces no estaba debidamente preparado para entenderla. Aun así, el anhelo de una música tan sublime se vio cumplido con este singular oratorio del musico inglés. El coro del Tabernáculo, garantía musical de gran tradición artística e inmejorable ejemplo de lo más cercano a la perfección musico-vocal, ofrece en este album la maestría de una interpretación llevada hasta el paroxismo de la dulzura, de la exaltación y de la sublimidad. Difícil es describir con palabras la interioridad de esta obra. En ella subyace el deseo más profundo de un anhelo de libertad maravillosamente expresado en la interpretación, con la amplitud propia del coro del Tabernáculo. Un amigo mío, ateo declarado, en una ocasión que oyó la versión del Mesías no pudo contenerse más y expresó: "Ahora veo que tu Dios existe. Existe en esa música. existe en la fuerza vibrante de ese coro. Existe en el autor que, sin duda, estará contemplando cómo se interpreta su creación. Si el hombre es capaz de crear eso, es porque Dios sí existe" En muchos momentos de intervención creativa a lo largo de mi vida, este excepcional oratorio me ha acompañado. Ha impregnado momentos de placer, de alegría, de tristeza, de dolor, de llanto, de intimidad filial. Definitivamente ha inspirado muchas cosas que hoy son una realidad. Sin él, mi vida no sería lo que es. Si nunca lo hubiera escuchado y estudiado, me hubiera perdido un gran tesoro artístico y musical. Definitivamente GRACIAS HAENDEL!!!
