better then i could have ever imagined i thought i knew Hank but i didnt know didiley till i got this set some old tracks like 2 out of the whole set a bit scracthy but good lord they are over 50 years old what do you expect there are some tracks on here where Hank is speaking to a radio audience they are worth the price themselves plus its a good way to drive the family crazy on long drives. This boxed set of "The Complete Hank Williams" is one of the best ever put out. He was my idol when I was a teenager and I have never got over it. When this was made available I had to have it no matter what. It is just like he was back in my life again. The recordings are fantastic and I will get many years of enjoyment from it. I love to listen to the old stars like Hank Williams. I hope more of them will put something like this out.Free Music Review: incredible resource

I sing, play guitar, write music, and I am currently diving deep into classic country and old-time music from the 1930s-1950s. This is a great collection, well packaged, with good (sometimes very good) liner notes and historical background information. It will be an incredible resource for me for the rest of my life. Don't believe the complainers who moan about the packaging scratching the CDs in this collection --- that has not happened to me once.Free Music Review: Essential!

Spend some time listening to the music on this entire history and you'll recognize why Hank Williams is one of the most significant artists of all time. You'll hear Bob Dylan, Beatles, Rolling Stones, CCR, Bruce Springsteen,etc. Mr. Williams' music is as important as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton and all of the other brilliant stars.
