Free Music Notes for Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley CyrusFree Music Review: Great!! Hit: 5 Stars
I absolutely LOVE this CD set, I listen to the songs over and over again!! Here's a guide to the songs:
Hannah Montana 2 --
1) We Got the Party -- title is pretty self-explanatory. I love the catchy beat of the chorus, and I love how it begins. 5/5
2) Nobody's Perfect -- A song about how everybody makes mistakes, so not to be hard on yourself when things don't go the way you planned. Focuses specifically on Miley Stewart's tendency to get into ridiculous situations due to her meddling. I myself don't MIND this song, but it's for strict Hannah fans. It's MAJOR pop. Some parts are a little irritating, but it's good for cheering someone up. 3/5
3)Make Some Noise -- a song about not being shy and self-conscious. Not my favorite, but I love the lyrics. It's surprisingly touching. 4/5
4)Rock Star -- about having a crush on somebody who doesn't know you, but thinking that if they just asked you out they'd realize how awesome and exciting you were (maybe even like a rock star). This is my favorite track on the first disc, it's something you'll be able to relate to very easily, and it's SOO catchy. And not just the lyrics -- the guitar on it is awesome. 5/5 (10/5 if I could!)
5)Old Blue Jeans -- about wondering if somebody just asked you out because they think you're glamorous, and wondering if they'd still like you as you are, "just [you]in [your] old blue jeans." Some people might find it a petty topic, or too repetitive, but I myself really like it. 4/5
6)Life's What You Make It -- a peppy song about having a positive attitude on life, and how a situation can turn around if you just look on the bright side. I like this a lot, it's really good at cheering one up. 5/5
7) One In a Million -- a song about being awed at how lucky you are to have such a great boyfriend, and the chances of finding somebody so perfect being "one in a million." Really sweet. The verses are pretty, and the chorus has a great accompaniment. 5/5
8)Bigger Than Us -- about wanting to believe in true love. It is a good song, but not memorable or catchy enough that I listen to it often. 3/5
9)You and Me Together -- I really like this song about how friends can do anything together. Totally awesome, and really catchy. 5/5
10) True Friend -- a song about close friendship. Adorable, I LOVE this track. It's also really refreshing to have a song about friendship instead of about crushes and break-ups. 5/5
Meet Miley Cyrus --
1) See You Again -- a song about not being able to wait to spend time with your crush. Good lyrics, but not very interesting to listen to. 2/5
2) East Northumberland High -- about triumphing after a break-up. One of my favorite songs. I love the guitar and beat on this, and it is REALLY catchy. Also very good lyrics. 5/5
3) Let's Dance -- pretty self-explanitory title. I love the Latin influence, and the beat is great. It's reminiscent of "Dance With Me" by Drew Seeley. Love the sassy lyrics, too! ("To the number one girl, to make her go crazy...I need someone to dance with me, baby!") 5/5
4) G.N.O. (Girl's Night Out) -- about just spending time with your friends, and not worrying about guys. It's for country fans, as it's got a really strong country influence, and some parts are a little annoying, but for the most part I really like it. 4/5
5)Right Here -- about being there for somebody. Catchy and a little lighter than some of the other songs on the album. I like it a lot. 5/5
6)As I Am -- about finding a guy that likes you when you're angry, sad, or depressed, and who would never try to change you. Beautiful lyrics. 5/5
7) Start All Over -- about taking a risk in a relationship, despite doubts. Very catchy. One of the more rock 'n roll songs on the album. 5/5
8) Clear -- about finally realizing that the way your boyfriend or girlfriend treats you is really disrespectful, and that they're really not worth your time. Very good. Reminds me slightly of Regina Spektor, in the fact that it's smooth and easy. 5/5
9) Good and Broken -- about making ends meet and moving on even though you're sad about something. I absolutely love the melody. 5/5
10) I Miss You -- written about the death of Miley's grandfather, this song is the full version of the one Miley Stewart sung about her mother in the Hannah Montana episode "She's a Super-Sneak". Beautiful and touching lyrics. It's so obvious it was written right from Miley's heart. The only thing is that the acoustic accompaniment seen on TV is a lot prettier than the one on the disc. Still, the lyrics and heart make up for that...5/5
You'll love definitely love this CD; you should definitely get it!!! I know I'm happy I did!
Free Music Review: Real MAGIC ! Hit: 5 Stars
This album "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus" by Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus" has two CDs. One is strictly Hannah and the other Miley and you can really hear the differences I speak about later. The CD "Meet Miley Cyrus" is just that, an introduction and "get acquainted" with Miley through her music.
Step into the world of Hannah Montana and you can see that world is the wonderful creation of Miley Cyrus and there is a difference between them. Hannah goes where Miley's dreams take her. I have heard some refer to Hannah's music as "lollipop rock" but it is more like "Jet Rock" where Hannah is the jet jockey in momentum packed with vibrant music, imagination, variety and direction that leads the listener into a world of positive spin with macro achievable dreams and philosophy. Hannah IS Miley UNLEASHED! I cannot think of anyone that I could compare Hannah with or to. She is our century's phenomenon in music who braves the path that very few, probably none, dare go or follow for now. Hannah's energy is unprecedented and definitely unequalled. Her performing skills are fantastic! She is genuine, direct, compassionate and has the courage of her own convictions like her mentor Miley. Amazingly enough, she instills and transfers some, if not much, of that energy to the listening and watching audience who walk away at the end of a show with an uplifted, can-do, energetic attitude and feeling that opens doors closed before or never tried. This does not just apply to the younger set, but to all ages and genders. Hannah is a dream come true for Miley and an inspiration for the rest of us. I did not know Miley's real name is "Destiny Hope" but I think it beautiful anyway and fitting.
It is amazing and fascinating to me to see and hear the differences between Miley and Hannah since, physically, they are the same person. When Miley steps into the wig, she becomes the dream. Miley does keep her own identity out of the wig and is a superstar in her own right. Where Hannah is zooming through the wild blue, Miley is working diligently through her feelings with interpretive and implementation skills in her music that rivals Shania Twain or any current or past superstar. I see Miley as Hannah's implementer and mentor - she makes Hannah's dreams workable. Miley is a great actress who steps into her role as Hannah and becomes her character. I don't know why Disney has not cast her in dramatic movies. Maybe its the Hannah-Miley relationship in that Miley does not have the dream of stepping into other roles. Miley is a great performer herself. In fact I think of Miley as America's Shania Twain in rock. But, Hannah is "America's Rock Star" thanks to Miley's dream and skills!
While Hannah is Miley's dream, Miley is the dream for many of us. The CDs are both outstanding in this single album and well worth the cost. Disney Recording has done a great job of mixing and presentation in this two CD set!
Free Music Review: absolutely AMAZING! Hit: 5 Stars
first let me begin that i am WAY over the age of anyone that should be watching hannah montana. i will not display my age but i am old enough to have children,,,,,though i have none. i was curious one day as to what the big deal was with this Hannah Montana. big mistake i became HOOKED!! i discuss and laugh over this show with my nieces and nephews whose ages rage from 5-14. ok ok i know this isnt a dvd, i was just letting you know a little of where i'm coming from.
ok to the cd.....I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cd!!! it's my new favorite. i listen to it constantly. of course i listen to the Miley cd more but i enjoy both. of course if you watch the show you'll know the Hannah cd.....no big surprises.....
now, when i started to listen to the miley cd i do admit i was a little anxious. i was torn because i wanted to like it and i wanted her to do well, on the flip side i was hoping i hadnt wasted my money. the first few lines of "see you again" i was HOOKED!! my absolute FAVORITE i make sure that i listen to this song at least once when i get into my car. the words are great *yes she wrote this song* and the music ~ you just cant sit still...
East Northumberland high is just about a school crush
Lets dance is celebrating the cd mostly (at least that's what i got from it) not corny ~ really cute. another song you cant sit still to
Girl's Night Out is self explanatory....about hanging out with your friends and having fun
Right Here can be directed to anyone, a friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, family member......being available for them when they need someone there
As I Am is about just liking someone for who they are
start all over could possibly be about getting out of a relationship and starting "over" it could even be about having a fight with a friend and realizing they werent truly a friend so you start over
clear is about opening your eyes to about how a person in your life "really" is and getting them out of your life
i miss you is her first song ever written it's a song to her grandfather that passed away
for her first attempt at writing an album...i say BRAVO!!! i love every song, it gets me moving, it's addicting, well worth the money....no matter what you pay.
i think i enjoyed this album more because it's written by her and perhaps it's more "heartfelt" instead of someone writting it all for her. it's more directed towards her age. she's not singing about being in ALLL these bad relationships and how she felt being in high school "back in the day", there isnt even ONE inappropriate word/saying and I LOVE THAT!! etc.....it's REAL and ENERGETIC and it's AGE directed. i am proud of what she has accomplished and am anxious for the next one...
even though she'll never see this i am truly proud of what she has accomplished and love that kids have her to look up to.....way to go....
Free Music Review: HANNAH MONTANA NOW A TRIPLE PLATINUM!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Miley saw, she came and she conquered the hearts of millions worldwide. Hannah Montana 2 / Meet Miley Cyrus is now triple platinum with over 3 million units sold worldwide and 1.6 million in the US. This is not a trivia, this is a FACT!!!
People who says Miley got no talent is simply jealous of her. Miley's concerts is sold out in few minutes after it was released and tickets prices are soaring outrageously high that being sold by scalpers. The concerts received great reviews and Hannah Montana commodities are selling like hot pancakes. Miley Cyrus is a multi-millionaire at the tender age of 15.
Her concerts is sold out with people still wanting to buy and looking for tickets. So that just simply proved she got the TALENT. And people for that matter appreciate her live singing voice and her concert performance as a whole.
So people listened, while it's true that people have their own taste in music and is entitled to their own opinion. Putting someone down with no proofs at all is really very low and a simple case of jealousy.
The people who bought the tickets regardless of the price and watch the concert saw first hand that Miley is not a Disney make believe. She is for real, she sings live in her concert and her voice is just way too awesome to describe. She performed regardless whether she feels well or not, that my friends is what we called heart. She is not all glamour. Miley is dedicated to her craft and her fans and that is something money cannot buy.
So you asked, is it worth buying her cds? YES! It is as I have bought all her cds and I don't have any complains whatsoever. I like all her songs and I don't get tired listening to it. Regardless of my opinion, the decision is yours too make.
Hannah Montana Rocks and Miley Cyrus Rulz!!!!
Free Music Review: Look out Ashlee Simpson, because here comes Miley! Hit: 5 Stars
Who would have thought that the follow up album to the catchy but not-so-serious Hannah Montana soundtrack could be such a solid release, a solid DUAL release at that. Miley's two personas combine to deliver a power-pop fusion of rockin' tunes that span styles of pop, rock, and even a slight touch of country and reggae. Miley's raspy girl-next-door voice will certainly please Ashlee Simpson fans (if you don't believe me sample the track "As I Am"... she sounds just LIKE Ashlee), and some tracks deliver a good enough punch to draw even an Avril crowd. So what is the difference between these two personas?
Hannah Montana certainly is more teen power-pop, and Miley Cyrus has a slightly more refined, mature sound. Which is better? Both. I'll admit that I was drawn to the Hannah Montana album first, but now the "Meet Miley" album has caught my attention. Fun songs like "East Northumberland High" whose infectious chorus reminds teens that there is life after high school as Miley sings, "You're my type of guy I guess if I was stuck in East Northumberland High for the rest of my life but people change thank God I did." Miley (Destiny Hope) actually wrote most of the songs on the "Meet Miley Cyrus" CD, which is refreshing to know, and quite an accomplishment for this 14 year old. She happened to write a very notable cut, "Let's Dance," which has a Spanish-influenced vibe in its rhythm and guitar arrangements.
If you are looking for the "next Hilary Duff" look no more, yet I think Miley has more personality and spunk. This dual CD release should not be taken lightly nor seen as a Disney-star release. Miley Cyrus is the next... Miley Cyrus. Look out folks, she's here to stay, and this album proves it through and through.
