Free Music Review: That's pretty darn good
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow, these guys were between the ages of 8 and 12 (maybe evenyounger) when they wrote this album, and let me emphasize WROTE thisalbum. I was just learning how to write and spell at that age for God's sake! Their voices have not yet developed on this CD, but that doesn't matter, Issac sounds really good on it, and you can tell that Taylor is going to be amazing soon. I am still amazed that they wrote this album at such a young age! And the topics they talk about are really mature! You'd expect those kind of lyrics from someone in their 20s. The best songs are "Two tears" "Stories" "Surely as the sun" and "River.' Also "With you in your dreams" which is on their MON album. They wrote that song for their grandmother when she was dying. All I can say is wow. They are truely much more than another teen idol group. They will grow to be so much more.

Free Music Review: A MUST HAVE!
Hit: 5 Stars

Since their debut album "Middle Of Nowhere" in May of 1997, Hanson has been soaring up the charts. Everyone just can't seem to get enough of this tow headed trio from Tulsa Oklahoma. At the ages of 12, 15, amd 17 the have sold over 12 million albums worldwide, and also released a Christmas album in November of 1997. This is their latest release, "3 Car Garage: The Indie Recordings from'95-96", shows them even younger (6, 9 and 11) trying to accomplish their dream of being musicans. With 11 new tracks, including the original versions of "MMMBop", "Thinking of You", and "With You In Your Dreams", and 8 other original tracks, this is one cd you can't afford not to have. It's classical Hanson in the early years, showing you exactly how they got where they are today. Go pick this one up before it's gone!

Free Music Review: Hanson: More than Teen Idols!
Hit: 5 Stars

If you still think Hanson is some cheesy industry exec's creation to gouge money out of the teenyboppers, listen to this album. Ike, Tay, and Zach were doing their thing long before "Middle of Nowhere." To be honest, I actually find this album refreshingly honest and real compared to the sometimes overproduced "Middle of Nowhere." This is the music the way the boys themselves intended it, and they have good instincts. For example "With You in Your Dreams" which comes off sappy and artificial on "Nowhere" really takes on a moving gospel quality here. And the energy of "Day Has Come" really beats out a lot of the newer material! While I like "Nowhere" quite a bit I have really fallen in love with this album much more. Very solid and not just for kids!

Free Music Review: Young
Hit: 5 Stars

Most of the songs are slower, but some of them (i.e. the 'Isaac Ballads'- as many fans like to call them) are supposed to be because they won't ever have the same effect otherwise. Admittedly, "MMMBop" sounds kinda weird after 'Middle of Nowhere'. My warped sense of humour finds "Pictures" funny, even though I don't think it was written to make me laugh - it just does. It's really great to hear what they used to sound like and when you do the math, Taylor was eleven/twelve at the time of these recordings (actually, no math, it was recorded in 1995 and I'm born in the same year as Taylor). When you think about that it just goes to show how passionate these guys have been about music all their lives, and you can hear the passion in their voices.

Free Music Review: Hanson Does It Again!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Or should that be "Hanson did it before!"? Featuring songs from their first indie CD's, this one is a winner! The three songs previously released on Middle of Nowhere are presented in an earlier form, but no less satisfying than the later recordings. "Surely As The Sun" stands out as one of the sweetest, smoothest ballads I've ever heard! "Soldier" can only be described as an audio Disney cartoon playing in your head! It's a rare treat that captures the dreamy innocence of childhood. After hearing this one, you WILL find yourself digging out those old toys! Overall, the songs are incredibly insightful for artists their age. If anyone doubts the talent of these guys at this point, they just haven't been listening!
