Free Music Notes for The Best of Hanson Live and Electric (CD & DVD)Free Music Review: Always a fan Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a Hanson fan for over 8 years now. I have argued with countless people over the validity of Hanson's talent, but now that they've released this incredible live album, I don't have to argue anymore. All I have to say is, "Just listen," press play, and the music speaks for itself. This is barnone the best live album I have ever heard. My husband loves the opening song, a rocking cover of Radiohead's "Optimistic," and while I love every song on the album, I'm quite partial mostly to the more rock songs, though their cover of U2's "In a Little While" is one highlight I never tire of. The vocals alone reel you in hook, line, and sinker, and the instrumentals are dead on. This is a very enjoyable record that you will want to listen to over and over, just brace yourself for the screaming crowd!
Free Music Review: awesome!! Hit: 5 Stars
If I could, I would take everyone in the world to a Hanson concert. Not only do you get good music on this CD, but you can hear the passion for the music which you dont often hear these days.
The music industry is desperatly missing artists just like Hanson. Issac, Taylor and Zac sing and play catchy tunes such as MMMBop to Where's the Love? and raw emotional songs such as Hand In Hand. Of course Hanson thankfully didnt leave out Penny and Me which i adore.
Hanson have yet again proved to the world that they are musicians - and you can hear this in the album.
You can blast this CD in the car, or chill out listening to it.
I can't wait for the next studio album!!
Free Music Review: Mature and Marvelous! Hit: 5 Stars
From MMMMBop to Penny & me,Hanson has grown up well! The songs are lively, poignant and beautiful, and show the maturity of these boys...now men. I am most impressed to find that they write their own music, play the instruments and do not rely on others to make the sound for them. I happen to think that they got labeled "Boyband" from their MMMBop days, and are not being given a fair shake as serious musicians.I am in my late 30's and very much enjoy the harmonious trio. I find the songs catchy, upbeat and full of decent, uplifting, unprofane lyrics...stuff you can actually sing to!
Cheers to Hanson...their music is teriffic and so are they! I hope this is only the beginning of great discs from this great group!
Free Music Review: rockssss Hit: 5 Stars
to make it short and add a little bit to the other reviews, this cd is amazing, so powerful and passionate... I definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a band filled with talent and passion. It's a good oportunity to find out what Hanson sounds like nowadays, and hear new versions of their older stuff (like the extended where's the love and hand in hand, the funky look at you, etc), as well as a brilliant performance of their recent work.
by the way, you can hear clips of all the songs at Hanson's webpage [www.hanson.net], just go to the 'Media' section (the headphones icon) and click in the album cover. There you go, all of them... check them out!
Free Music Review: A rockin' album from a rockin' show! Hit: 5 Stars
I get chills down my spine listening to this album, reliving the concert I was once at. I especially love Look at You's guitar solo and Hand in Hand which has older brother Isaac shining on stage.
The Best of Hanson Live & Electric showcase a range of songs from their early days of '97 to current releases such as Penny & Me. It even gives a taste of their cover abilities by opening with Radiohead's 'Optimistic' and U2's 'In a Little While'. This is a great buy for someone who is curious to know what Hanson is really about.
To quote Hanson themselves: 'For some, music is not just a pastime, It's an undeniable fact of living'
