Free Music Notes for Happy FeetFree Music Review: OK already, so it's not the entire soundtrack... Hit: 5 Stars
YES, I know, it's not the entire "original" soundtrack. Enough griping.
what is proivided is wonderful, and a tantalizing temptation of that to come... begrudge whomever for that bit of marketing genius, but for me, the immediate ability to hear the most wonderful K.D. Lang surpass Lennon / McCartney on "Golden Slumbers - The End" medley, and of course, the incredible take on Steve Miller's "The Joker" with out of the blue mix of "Bread" tastefully interwoven, awwww... man.... simply orgasmic juxtapostion of reggae, rock, awesome vocals and saavy mix... Chrissy (Hynde), Lord I don't deserve this, but all Thanks anyway !!
and yes, Robin Williams does wonders... who could suppose that such emotion would be brougt forth from a comic ? Wonderful.
and really, the entire CD is just that... a wonderful tease of the entire.
THANKS !

Free Music Review: Happy soundtrack ;-) Hit: 5 Stars
This is a fantastic soundtrack. It's as cute as the movie. There are some great songs on here (a lot are remakes sung by surprise 'artists'). Prince wrote an original song for it after seeing a sneek peek at the movie. It's a cool and funky boppy song that tells you to get up on your feet and out of your seat. It's great. Some of the tracks are covered by actors in the film like Robin Williams and Hugh Jackman. Brittany Murphy does a great remake of the Queen song Somebody To Love and Pink has also done a great cover of Stevie Wonder's song Tell Me Something Good - showing that she can sing very soulfully.
This is a fantastic mix of great songs both old and new and it's fun to listen to. I love all the songs really - I can't pick out a couple only. I hope you'll all get a kick out of it too. It's really great.
Free Music Review: Mumble! Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack is cool. Yay,yay, yay, I know they took the words from all you generation Baby Boomers, and Generation X and Y but, now it's time for us hipsters to have a chance to listen! This is a great soundtrackb even is it did copy. They paid money to copy. If you don't appreciate that then you can give them the money they paid all those stars to use their songs back. Don't let these PeaceBrackers tell you what's what. If you don't like the fact that they used other people's copyright then you don't have to buy it. Go ahead and buy Britney Spears' jams and 50 cent's whisper song. I'm not stopping you. But this is a good soundtrack to follow up the best movie ever. So buy as you wish. But don't blame me when your hero of Now That's What I Call Rubbish 26 billion has went on a million year trip to the moon has left.
Free Music Review: A Fun Dance/Pop Album Hit: 5 Stars
Instead of being a complete reproduction of everything from the movie, this album captures its spirit. Pop it into your CD player and you'll want to get up and shake your tail feathers like Mumble and friends. All of the key musical moments from the movie are here, including "Somebody to Love" and "Kiss/Heartbreak Hotel." I guess if you're a soundtrack expert this won't be enough, but, if you're looking for an upbeat album that captures the feel of the movie, then go ahead and order. You'll be as happy as the smiling Mumble on the cover.
Free Music Review: Can't help but want to move Hit: 5 Stars
I have seen the movie, have heard the music in the proper context, and so what if the tracks are not by the original artists. The music works with the movie and is as entertaining as it is intended to be. Some people are incapable of just enjoying a movie (or its music). To those people I say that it must suck to be you! This is a brilliant and enjoyable soundtrack, it makes a person want to dance; and for those who have a light-hearted outlook on life I highly recommend it.
