First offf the Prince song is one hte most soul-stirring, listenable tracks as he's ever made! It's kid friendly and deep enough for adults too! Robin Williams sing a great song too-in spanish! All in all it's a good Cd with some radio-friendly pop songs like Gia Farrel's "Hit me Up", as well as some interesting "mash-ups" such as Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman singing a mix of Prince's "Kiss" and Elvis's "Heartbreak Hotel" which works unexpectedly well. "Jump 'n' Move" will have anyone tapping their feet to the beat even if you cant understand all the words. "I Wish" is another highlight by Patti LaBelle, Fantasia, and Yolanda Adams. This CD is a great mix of songs to play if you like music but also have kids in the car and think the radio is a little bit too much, like I do.Free Music Review: Happy Music

Loved the movie and had to have the CD, not just the down load of the web. This way I can play it in the car and make myself happy while driving around. The music is catchy makes you want to sing along. All the while you can picture the penguins in the movie doing the dancing and singing. I loved the reworked tunes from a broad spectrum of musical genres. Even Robin Williams' latin accented tune was amusing and fun to hear.
An uplifting and worthwhile purchase, my only regret is not being able to see Savion Glover's "Mumble" doing his magic steps. Incidentally, I am over 50 and loved the movie as well.

This CD is great. My son loves listening to the songs from the movie, and I think they're catchy as well.
For those of you dissapointed that the score wasn't included, I'd like to point out that there is a seperate CD with the score. On that CD, there are 29 songs by John Powell. Perhaps you may like that better?

Fans of the animated confection (especially kids) will enjoy this fanciful collection of dance-happy songs. Brittany Murphy, especially, surprises with her vocal skills while Hugh Jackman delivers an expectedly energetic and boffo-baritone performance as "Memphis." Light, fun, upbeat just like the motion picture.
