No Music collection should be without this CD. Harry Chapin is a musical genius, a Grand Master Painter. That is, he can a picture with words, and paint he does. The whole picture, the whole nine yards. What you get is a movie within a song, a song that tells a story, complete with charactors that you care about, that you feel for, that you can relate to. A Masterpiece. If a picture can paint 1,000 words, then Chapin can paint the Sistine Chapel with his songs. It is nothing short of Brilliant. A great way to introduce yourself to his music, or, if you an old fan, a way to reconnect with the best. I gave this album 5 stars only because that is the most you can give. It deserves a lot more. I agree with the previous people. If you want a great range of Harry Chapin's songs, get the Gold Medal Collection. However, this CD is fabulous - like is every other one of his CD's. He's gentle and powerful and passionate and he is an inspiration to all singers and artists of any kind. He truly loved singing. He's the type of singer who would sing even if there were no money in it. This CD is a good collection of songs, however some are omitted that I wouldn't omit. :) I recommend buying ALL of his albums.Free Music Review: Harry Chapin....yes!

The Essentials This is a collection of Harry Chapin's top songs. I'm an avid Harry Chapin fan. After listening to the CD, you won't be able to get Taxi out of your head just like you couldn't when you first heard it. Go, Harry, go. We need more new singers like you!Free Music Review: Top Notch
