Don't get me wrong- I'm a huge Harry Chapin fan. But the greatest hits albums are getting old and this is just another one. No more, no less. The only song worth getting the album for is "Dreams Go By", as it is unavailable on any other album, except "Greatest Stories Live". Still good songs. This is a nice cd. But the GOLD MEDAL COLLECTION ( 2 CDs) gives you a much better feel for his music. Better range and some good stories. If 20 years since his death you are looking for a "essential collection" get the GOLD METAL it is a much much better place to be.Free Music Review: It's What's Missing

Minus two stars for not including Harry's two best storytelling gems: 30,000 Pounds of Bananas & Six String Orchestra. Some gold is on the surface. Some gold is buried, and sadly overlooked.

I thought the cd was going to be studio versions of the songs. Instead it is live versions that do not sound well. You can barely hear Chapin sing. Not quite pleased with this purchase.
