I was a Chapin follower from the days of Taxi and WOLD, loved Cat's in the Cradle. Went to see him at Michigan State University, and loved his humor, wit, and sincerity in concert. He started World Hunger, an organization still going strong, feeding hungry right here in the US. I love all his music, especially "Greatest Stories Live". However, all of the ones I see for sale only have one song following "Bananas", and that is "The Shortest Story". My LP has three - "She's Always Seventeen" and "Love is Just Another Word" are the extra two. Have most ofhis other albums. Favorite songs: Taxi, Sequel, Corey's Coming, Dance Band on the Titanic, Tangled Up Puppet, and of course "Finally Found It Sandy".

"Stories" is the operative word here. The late Harry Chapin penned tales that touched a chord in listeners regardless of their age, background, or truth be told, regardless even of the type of music they normally listened to. Chapin always came across as a tough guy with a heart of gold, a brainy type who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty--much like the protagonist of "Taxi" (a terrific rendition of which is contained herein). In addition to radio staples like "Cat's in the Cradle," the 1976 recording also sheds light on slightly lesser-known pieces like "Circle" and "Mr. Tanner."
