I pre-ordered this CD a week before it went on sale and received it in the mail the same day it was released! With a $6 discount from retail stores along with no tax or shipping costs, Amazon just can't be beat.The CD is fabulous from beginning to end. I've owned Harry's first Christmas CD for many years and was thrilled when I found out that another Christmas album was on the way. This CD lives up to all expectations I ever had. It has big band, insturmental, vocals, etc. If you're a Harry Connick fan you'll definitely love this CD.

What a pleasant and welcome suprise to start the holiday season as I did not realize this album was being released! As usual, Mr. Connick surrounds himself with top notch musicians and arrangements that breathe new life into traditional holiday standards. His originals this time around are excellent and leave the impression of standards that you've heard before. Along with "When My Heart Finds Christmas", I know that "Harry For The Holidays" will be in constant rotation in our CD changer this holiday season! No way could Harry Connick Jr. disappoint with this CD!! His smooth, sultry voice mixed with the jazz piano and full horn section make for a festive, but original sound. He sings classics, but in a unique way. He also wrote some new songs that will soon become part of your holiday traditions!! If you like him and his style of music, you shouldn't miss this seasonal spectacular. We purchased this album yesterday and I was NOT disappointed. I absolutely LOVE the songs! Harry and the other musicians did an excellent job again... The music has a different "sound" than the first album -- a bit more jazzy. However, I liked how he went out of his musical box, so to speak, on "Nothin' New For New Year" -- the duet with George Jones was completely unexpected but enjoyable. This album is jazzier than his first Xmas album, but it is just as amazing. Whether you're strictly a Harry fan or just looking for a great Xmas album, you will love this CD. I love Xmas music and have albums in all different genres, and Harry's albums are two of the best. I love his rendition of "Silver Bells," and that has never been a favorite song of mine. Disregard the negative reviews of this album--buy it and love it!!! Happy Holidays!"Play like you live, y'all..."
