Free Music Notes for When Harry Met Sally: Music From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: This one will make your heart sing Hit: 5 Stars
This is a heartwarming CD from Harry that is spending a lot of time in my disk spinner. Connick's youthful and delicate, yet rich timbre conveys these romantic songs of love and longing in a way that brings a smile to your face. An then there is his idiosyncratic sense of rhythm and awesome piano playing. Who cares if it is exacly the music from the movie? Get the CD and hear for yourself. There are four wonderful instrumental tracks Stompin' At The Savoy, Winter Wonderland, Autumn In New York and It Had To Be You, which showcases Harry's amazing piano playing and his signature sense of rhythm and timing.
Free Music Review: Exquisite to say the least! Hit: 5 Stars
I loved it! It's that simple! At first, I was a little apprehensive of the fact that only one artist was present. The majority of soundtracks, as we all know, feature a variety of artists which makes them appealing because we experience different musical genre on a single cd. I was, however, pleasantly surprised and think that Harry Connick Jr. did an excellent job on this soundtrack! I appreciated it most on one cold rainy day when I curled up with a hot mug of mocha latte to read a book (Actually, I enjoyed the music so much I ended up just sitting there listening to it and staring out of the window).
Free Music Review: THE most romantic CD Harry Connick has done! Hit: 5 Stars
Although it's not actually the soundtrack, it's fine by me. He's incredibly gifted and a joy to listen. Who doesn't want to dance around with the the one you love when you hear him croon, "It had to be you"? My mother's forty years older than me and the generation gap is bridged when we heard this stuff. It's great! Check out other great CD's from him such as "She" & "We Are In love" :) Note of interest: Harry actually wanted to use "Recipe of Love" for the movie, "When Harry Met Sally", but much to his dismay, it was turned down.
Free Music Review: Great film! Hit: 5 Stars
One of my all time favorite comedies. When two college grads, Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan drive together to NY to start their new jobs, they can't stand each other. Crystal acts like a jerk, while Meg is persnickity and can't wait until he's out of her car and her life. Every now and then they run into each other. Meg has a boyfriend, and Billy is married. Neither relationships work out. So they finally stop arguing, and in time become good friends. But when romance enters the scene, neither knows how to handle it. Not woth missing. And the music background is wonderful.
Free Music Review: Wonderful listening no matter where you are... Hit: 5 Stars
I initially purchased this album as a cassette nearly ten years ago. One of Harry Connick Jr's best. Wonderful listening enjoyment sharing a bottle of wine with friends or even taking a ride with the top down on a cool starry night. Whatever the mood, this CD will truly warm the heart. From classic greats such as "Don't get around much anymore" to "It had to be you", it just doesn't get any better. If you do not have this Harry Connick Jr. CD, you simply must get it! Trust me, it goes with me everywhere!
