Free Music Notes for When Harry Met Sally: Music From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: You gotta have it! Hit: 5 Stars
It Had to Be You, Love Is Here to Stay, But Not for Me, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, I Could Write a Book, Let's Call the Whole Thing Off and When or When are vocal numbers, others are instrumental. Soundtrack is featuring only covers. Songs are mostly performed by trio Harry Connick, Jr. (piano and vocal), Benjamin Jonah Wolfe (bass) and Jeff 'Tain' Watts (drums), sometimes with Big Band or by Harry alone (Where Or When, Autumn In New York and Winter Wonderland). Harry Connick Jr.'s interpretation is great.
Free Music Review: Refreshing and Romantic Hit: 5 Stars
Truly a great CD. This obviously launched the career of Harry Connick, a career which has been quite successful not only with his music but also with his subsequent branching out into movies. However, the one thing that he always has had going for him is his absolutely amazing tenor voice. That, along with his fantastic piano playing, makes him a formidable lounge/jazz singer, one of the Sinatra caliber. If you have not heard this album, it is highly recommended. Also, see the movie, it is fantastic.
Free Music Review: Must say, this best jazz vocal cd ever heard Hit: 5 Stars
Cannot complain about cd, it is one of favorites, in entire collection. Love jazz, so when heard soundtrack at friends house, asked if Sinatra, said no Harry Connick Jr. Then went to store bount immidiately. Never have stopped playing since, one of favorites. Connick have smokey voice, and great Thelonios Monk meeets swing style of piano playing. Connick has big band with unique arrangements, very swing but as same time very jazz. Ah so!!! Great cd!!!
Free Music Review: Honestly my favourite cd Hit: 5 Stars
This is the one to take to the desert island if you're stranded! I listen to it over and over and never get tired of it. Harry Connick Jr. does an incredible job with these classic tunes. If you've seen the movie, it makes it that much better. One note though, if you are looking for the songs to be sung by the artists who sing them in the movie, you may be disappointed. No Louis Armstrong or others, just Harry. An incredible cd!
Free Music Review: A great collection of songs from a talented performer Hit: 5 Stars
I was hooked by the familliar standard "It had to be you", but was very, very impressed with all the other songs that Harry performs. By the by, did you know that Harry was a child prodigy, performing this type of laid-back jazz at the tender age of 10 in local New Orleans fairs? No wonder this CD is so enjoyable, with a performer as talented as Mr. Connick you can't go wrong. This is definitely one of my faves!
