Free Music Notes for Nilsson SchmilssonFree Music Review: One of the great ones Hit: 5 Stars
I can't imagine my music collection without "Nilsson Schmilsson." Nilsson is at his prime here, delivering one fantastic vocal after another. "Without You" is his greatest moment and I consider him a genius in recognizing the potential this originally overlooked Badfinger song possessed. "Son of Schmilsson" was his follow-up and makes a wonderful companion to this CD. In fact, I prefer to view the two separate releases as one terrific double album.
Free Music Review: Well, whaddya know... Hit: 5 Stars
I've got to say, I'm shocked that this has finally been remastered. I figured they'd probably just reissue _Pussy Cats_ for a fifth time and let this go another 17 years. I mean, it's not like it's his most popular album, or like it produced three top 40 hits or anything like that. I guess somebody must have finally woken up over at the BMG reissue department. Hey guys, if you're listening, how about a remastered _New Sensations_ by Lou Reed, too?
Free Music Review: Gotta agree with Jamie Tate Hit: 5 Stars
This is , by far , the best sounding version of this classic disc yet. In it's original release form, this album was all over the map with musical style , a little pop , a little hard rock , a tribute to torch signing , and a novelty track or two. It was because of it's eclectic nature, that it flowed remarkably well. The bonus tracks only enhance the experience.
Free Music Review: Got it still Hit: 5 Stars
I've owned this LP scents it came out....many moons ago, this one and, The Point, still listen to both now and then.....you boys look a little shock up, been messing with the bees! Always liked the one, and,....sitting beside my breakfast table thinking about my troubles...pour myself a cup of tea, think about the bubbles.
Anyway...good stuff Maynard!
Free Music Review: Harry rocks :) Hit: 5 Stars
Even after 30 plus years this album hangs together well. From rockers like Coconut and Jump into the Fire to crooners like Without You, Harry covers all of the bases. Backed up by Jim Gordon, Jim Price, Klaus Voorman, and Jim Keltner plus cameos from Gary Wright and Jim Webb makes this a terrific album. Check out Son of Schmilsson for more great tunes.
