Free Music Review: The Transition the movies and Music
Hit: 5 Stars

Well to start off the review done by elizabeth is actually incorrect, John williams was not replaced he stepped down like he tried to do with Chamber of Secrets, But as for them choosing Patrick Doyle I believe it was time to change William's usually has beautiful light hearted and powerfully sad music while Patrick Doyle seems to excel at making more fancy and classic music along with darker and more frightening music as which all of these qualities are exemplified in "Voldemort" with this being the book in which everything changes it seems appropriate to have a new composer to make the change. Now hopefully Mr. Doyle will stay on for the next 3 movies because it is usually not beneficial when there is more than one composer change. Even in the movie I was able to tell the difference between Doyle and Williams, and for the die hard Harry Potter Theme fans who think its gone it may only appear twice in the soundtrack but in the movie it appears more than just a few times

Free Music Review: The best of the 4
Hit: 5 Stars

At first, yes, I was a bit upset that Williams wasn't going to do this movie's score, though I never really cared for his work on these movie's in the first place. The only memorable thing he did was obviously the theme, and one song from the Prisoner of Azkaban, everything else is ambience and random mystery noises. Doyle did a WONDERFUL job, forget what all these hate-mongers are saying. 'Death of Cedric' is a sorrow-full piece of work that portrays the emotion that is the scene. And the new "love" theme, if you will, for Harry is absolutely beautiful. It is played both when Harry and Cho talk, and when Harry's parents talk to him. Another huge part that struck me as amazing is the mermaid chant that is in 'Underwater Secrets' track. Exactly how I imagined it to sound. I thought it was an awesome soundtrack, and I really really hope Doyle comes back for Order of the Phoenix and Half-blood Prince. And hopefully the 7th.

Free Music Review: Great Harry Potter
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great soundtrack composed by Patrick Doyle. Like the movie the music is alsow draker than the other three composed by famous John Williams. When you see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at the cimima and listen to the music i`t givs you a filling of drakness. But some traks like: The Qudidtch Wolrld Cup, Harry in Winter, Nevel`s waltz and Potter`s waltz you still get a vorm filling inside. Hogwart`s March is also a good trak, we actually jused it on my school proom last year.
When you get all of this track together you get a great soudntrack and a great movie. The music is one of the this witch makes the movie good, and if you have bad music and a bad movie you are in truble. But this is done verry well and that can be seen in the movie if you juesr juse your ears.
So all in all it`s a great, but drak soundtrack worth the manny. Go and by it! ^^

Was this helpfull to you?

Free Music Review: Some of Doyle's Best Work
Hit: 5 Stars

Doyle has written a pretty remarkable and consistent score I feel with Goblet of Fire. I was fairly surprised to see how many themes Doyle introduced, and while they aren't as instantly memorable as Williams' themes in the first three, they are still very fitting and more mature than any other material in the previous films.

I'm proud of Doyle for making this score his own and not relying on Williams' materials and themes and style. He uses Hedwig's Theme twice in the film, in a far more dissonant tone, and that's pretty much it. The rest is entirely new. His action cues are also very impressive, especially The Black Lake, which is dark and heroic.

It pains me to see that not everyone enjoyed this score as much as me. The reality is, Doyle has done his part in maturing the series and giving it more emotional backbone than I could've imagined. Great work. 5 out of 5.

Free Music Review: A Wonderful New Collection
Hit: 5 Stars

First off, I would like to say that John Williams did a wonderful job writing the score for the first three Harry Potter movies. But the soundtrack for The Goblet of Fire is absolutely outstanding. The music is much darker than the earlier films, as it is a darker movie. Patrick Doyle does an outstanding job keeping the eerie scenes light and mysterious, and the darker, scarier scenes much heavier. I really enjoyed listening to the new theme of darker music compared to the earlier movies. Doyle does an absolutely wonderful job; I really can't say enough. My only complaint is of the last three tracks on the CD. They are really heavy rocker songs and I just could not get the feel for them. Half of the time the lyrics don't even make sense. I cannot understand why they would put those songs on this soundtrack. But, overall I really enjoyed this soundtrack and give it 5 stars.
